From Historical Legacy to Self-Determined Language(s) Policy? Literary Multilingualism in Lithuania and Latvia. The first part of this article looks at Soviet language(s) policy. Two further parts discuss language(s) policy and literary multilingualism in Lithuania and Latvia. The present thesis illustrates how the "creeping occupation" violates Georgia’s territorial integrity and fundamental human rights based on the historical, as well as the 2008 and subsequent developments. Stemming from the current political events, the number of IDPs is a big problem across the world. All this is stipulated by very common international or non-international conflicts that are happening in today's world. These conflicts also include the problems of people internally displaced from the occupied territories in Georgia.

The article discusses source materials for history o f Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth Dietines, found in archival legacy o f Ludwig Gruno, Prince o f Hesse-Homburg. The documents are part o f field chancellery o f the prince, currently preserved in the Military-Historical Museum of Engineer and Signal Corps in St. Petersburg among over a thousand of letters, documents and files illustrating his achievements as commander o f Russian armies in the Caucasus and Poland in 1732-1736. MICROSCOPIC TECHNIQUES AND A MULTI-ANALYTICAL APPROACH TO CHARACTERIZE THE MATERIALS OF TWO RUSSIAN ICONS

Two 19th century Russian icons, from the Museo Diocesano of Palermo, were analysed by UV photography, X-ray fluorescence, energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (ED-XRF), optical microscopy, micro-Raman spectroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy, combined with energy dispersive x-ray analysis, (SEM/EDS). The multi-analytical study of the icons “Protezione della Madre di Dio” (Pokrov’s Icon, Protection of Holy Mother of God) and ‘’Madre di Dio Gioia di Tutti gli Afflitti’’, (Holy Mother of God, Joy of all the afflicted), have been performed to reveal materials and technological features of the original painting of the 19th century as well as the materials used during past restoration works.…
