From Historical Legacy to Self-Determined Language(s) Policy? Literary Multilingualism in Lithuania and Latvia. The first part of this article looks at Soviet language(s) policy. Two further parts discuss language(s) policy and literary multilingualism in Lithuania and Latvia. It is known that Russian linguists contributely greatly to lay the foundations of Linguistics of the twentieth century. But how much was and is the Russian language important for linguistic studies? The present thesis illustrates how the "creeping occupation" violates Georgia’s territorial integrity and fundamental human rights based on the historical, as well as the 2008 and subsequent developments. Stemming from the current political events, the number of IDPs is a big problem across the world. All this is stipulated by very common international or non-international conflicts that are happening in today's world. These conflicts also include the problems of people internally displaced from the occupied territories in Georgia.

The article discusses source materials for history o f Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth Dietines, found in archival legacy o f Ludwig Gruno, Prince o f Hesse-Homburg. The documents are part o f field chancellery o f the prince, currently preserved in the Military-Historical Museum of Engineer and Signal Corps in St. Petersburg among over a thousand of letters, documents and files illustrating his achievements as commander o f Russian armies in the Caucasus and Poland in 1732-1736. Two 19th century Russian icons, from the Museo Diocesano of Palermo, were analysed by UV photography, X-ray fluorescence, energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (ED-XRF), optical microscopy, micro-Raman spectroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy, combined with energy dispersive x-ray analysis, (SEM/EDS). The multi-analytical study of the icons “Protezione della Madre di Dio” (Pokrov’s Icon, Protection of Holy Mother of God) and ‘’Madre di Dio Gioia di Tutti gli Afflitti’’, (Holy Mother of God, Joy of all the afflicted), have been performed to reveal materials and technological features of the original painting of the 19th century as well as the materials used during past restoration works.…

This article is devoted to the functional and semantic description of the Russian and Polish terminology of theolinguistics. Russian and Polish lexicographic sources were used to analyze the interpretation of words that a priori can perform the function of theolinguistic terms; the features of their functioning in Russian- and Polish-language theolinguistic texts were studied; the selection and seminal analysis of Russian and Polish terms included in the conceptual and terminological field “theolinguistics” was carried out.
