Social-, health care and rehabilitation educators’ competence : a cross-sectional study

An educator’s competence influences the implementation of evidence-based education and the overall quality of social and health care. This study aimed to identify distinct competence profiles from Finnish social, health and rehabilitative care educators, as well as describe which personal and professional characteristics influenced belonging to a certain profile. This paper describes an empirical approach designed and adopted to analyze and qualify the role of some public agencies devoted to rural development. These public organizations operate as critical agents in managing local public goods within a complex relation system functioning on a rural area. Search for magnetically-induced signatures in the arrival directions of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays measured at the Pierre Auger Observatory

We search for signals of magnetically-induced effects in the arrival directions of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays detected at the Pierre Auger Observatory. We apply two different methods. One is a search for sets of events that show a correlation between their arrival direction and the inverse of their energy, which would be expected if they come from the same point-like source, they have the same electric charge and their deflection is relatively small and coherent. We refer to these sets of events as "multiplets". The second method, called "thrust", is a principal axis analysis aimed to detect the elongated patterns in a region of interest. Viruses are omnipresent, genetically replicating parasites in our biosphere that affect and drive the evolution of life in various ways. Are viruses an inevitable feature of all naturally emerged (although hypothetical) living systems in the Universe or are they only a specialty of our life on Earth? Käsittelen kandidaatintutkielmassani rumpusetin alkeisopetuksen menetelmiä, haasteita ja opettajalta vaadittavia taitoja. Pyrin luomaan kattavan kokonaiskuvan soittimen ominaisuuksista, sen opettamisen erityispiirteistä sekä hyödyntämisestä perusopetuksen ja lukion musiikinopetuksessa. Tämän tutkielman tavoitteena oli selvittää esikouluikäisten odotuksia alkuopetukseen siirtymisestä kertomuksin ja kuvin. Aikaisempaa tutkimusta siirtymävaiheesta esi- ja alkuopetuksen välillä löytyy paljon, mutta lasten näkökulma on jäänyt vähemmälle tarkastelulle ja siksi toteutin tutkimuksen tästä näkökulmasta. Koulusiirtymää tarkasteltiin tutkimuksen teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä Bronfrenbrennerin (1979) ekologisen teorian ja ohjaavien asiakirjojen näkökulmista. En el presente trabajo, basado en la Teoría de las Necesidades Psicológicas Básicas (BPNT; Deci y Ryan, 2000), se puso a prueba un modelo con la siguiente secuencia: Estilo interpersonal controlador del entrenador þ Frustración de las necesidades psicológicas básicas þ Burnout. Participaron 725 futbolistas varones de la categoría infantil con edades comprendidas entre los 11 y los 13 años (M = 12.6; DT = .54) que completaron los instrumentos que evaluaban las variables de interés.
