Nomenclatural notes on Fabaceae described from Sicily

A note about some taxa in Anthyllis and Trifolium (Fabaceae) described from Sicily is presented. Concerning Trifolium, we provide the lectotypification of the name T. pratense var. semipurpureum (≡ T. pratense subsp. semipurpureum), using a specimen preserved at PAL (Todaro’s collection). Concerning the Lojacono-Pojero’s name Vulneraria heterophylla var. parvula, it is lectotypified by a specimen at G. A neotype at NAP is proposed for the Gussone’s name Vulneraria heterophylla var. albiflora. As this latter name is applied to a taxon accepted here at specific rank, a new combination is validated. Šajā darbā tiek analizētas Latvijas politiskās reklāmas un to efektivitāte mērķa – pēc iespējas lielāka reklāmdevēja iegūto balsu skaita vēlēšanās – sasniegšanā. Ņemot vērā kritērijus, kas plašāk aprakstīti un pamatoti darbā, galvenā uzmanība tiek pievērsta tieši 2014.gada Saeimas priekšvēlēšanu reklāmām. Ar šo pētījumu autors nosaka Saeimas vēlēšanu politisko reklāmu efektivitāti un nozīmību, vēlētājiem izdarot izvēli par labu kādam politiskajam spēkam. Lai sasniegtu šo mērķi, autors apkopo pieejamos reklamēšanas gadījumus noteiktajā periodā, un analizē tos izmantojot apkopoto teorētisko bāzi, kā arī pielietojot pētniecības metodes: anketēšanu un kontentanalīzi. Background: Adherence to inhaled drugs is linked to patients’ satisfaction with their device, and an incorrect use can negatively affect the outcomes of asthma treatment. We speculated that this is particularly true in elderly asthmatic subjects. Aim: We performed a national pre-post interventional multicentre study, enrolling moderate-to-severe asthmatic subjects aged ≥65 years treated with fixed inhaled combination drugs by dry powder inhaler (DPI) or pressurized metered dose inhaler (pMDI). Long-term potentiation (LTP) is important for the activity-dependent formation of early cortical circuits. In the neonatal rodent barrel cortex, LTP has been studied only in vitro . We combined voltage-sensitive dye imaging with extracellular multielectrode recordings to study whisker stimulation-induced LTP in the whisker-to-barrel cortex pathway of the neonatal rat barrel cortex in vivo . Single whisker stimulation at 2 Hz for 10 min induced an age-dependent expression of LTP in postnatal day (P) 0 to P14 rats, with the strongest expression of LTP at P3–P5.
