Community intervention in the “613 houses district” in Burjassot (Valencia) cannot be understood without the Escoles Esportives 613 Vivendes association. This association was set up in 1994 through the endeavours of social agents existing at the time in the district: 613 Housing Neighbourhood Association, the Manantial Association for Human and Cultural Promotion, and Burjassot’s basic team of municipal Social Services, as well as a group of young people who thought that one way to ensure the promotion of children in underprivileged neighbourhoods was through practising sports.
Memory‐type control charts for censored reliability data

Control charts are commonly used to monitor a process to detect undesirable changes. The main goal of this work is to propose exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) and cumulative sum (CUSUM) control charts to track a process by utilizing type-I censored generalized exponential (GE) distributed data. In particular, the censored data are replaced with the conditional expected value (CEV). In order to gain insight into the study of natural avalanches dynamics, we illustrate a statistical model based on a dissipative dynamical variable associated to a position dependent factor of safety field. This model, as experimentally demonstrated, is able to reproduce the complex structure of landslide events, such as power-law distributions. In this paper, we introduce an explicit dependence of the safety factor on the electrical resistivity to simulate landslide events in pyroclastic soils. Un estudio piloto sobre el efecto diferencial de la fatiga por conducción en personas mayores

Hay indicios de que la fatiga, uno de los principales efectos de la conducción prolongada, es más notable en mayores. El presente artículo recoge un estudio sobre el efecto de la conducción prolongada utilizando un simulador, en un grupo de sujetos mayores de 55 años. Los sujetos fueron evaluados médica y psicológicamente antes y después de la prueba de conducción. Se aplicaron las pruebas médicas de tensión arterial, pulso y saturación de oxígeno en sangre y como prueba psicológica, el Driver-Test. In this study, the evolution of the safety, nutritional, and volatile profile of a traditional Italian anchovy sauce with protected designation of origin (PDO), called “colatura di alici di Cetara”, is investigated after 12, 24, and 48 months of aging in wooden barrels. Some physicochemical parameters, free amino acids, volatile compounds, and histamine contents were evaluated during the aging of the samples. Glutamate, which together with aspartate is responsible for the umami taste, was the predominant free amino acid in the tested fish sauce, with a significant increase during the 48 months of maturation.
