Psychometric properties of non-specific electrodermal response frequency for a sample of male students.

In the present study data on the frequency of non-specific electrodermal responses (NSRs) are presented for a large and, with regard to sex, age and educational level, homogeneous sample of male students (n = 590). These data were obtained in 9 independent experiments in which NSRs were recorded under equivalent conditions. NSRs were scored as skin conductance changes greater than 0.02 muSiemens. A recording period of 5 min prior to experimental manipulations was chosen. Abstract Objective The study investigates the association between somatosensory amplification and the reporting of side effects. It establishes a German version of the Somatosensory Amplification Scale and examines its psychometric properties in a representative sample of the German population. The NOA-05 multicenter trial was performed to analyze the efficacy of primary chemotherapy with procarbazine and lomustine (PC) in patients with gliomatosis cerebri (GC) and to define clinical, imaging, and molecular factors influencing outcome.Thirty-five patients with previously untreated GC were treated with up to six 56-day courses of 110mg/m(2) lomustine on day 1 and 60mg/m(2) procarbazine on days 8 to 21. Abstract Background/Aims In chronic hepatitis C, clinical trials evaluating the efficacy of amantadine (AMA) and interferon (INF) compared to INF monotherapy, have produced conflicting results. We performed a meta-analysis of the individual patient's data from previous studies. Methods Nine hundred and seventy-two patients from six European centres were evaluated by means of individual patient meta-analysis, using mixed models with centres and the centre–treatment interaction fitted as random variables. Fluctuations of hepatitis C virus (HCV)-RNA serum levels were monitored in a multicenter study in 76 chronic HCV carriers who had been followed longitudinally without receiving antiviral therapy to assess their relation with the course of liver disease activity. An increased accumulation of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) in retrobulbar tissues has been reported in patients with thyroid eye disease. We examined the quantitative urinary GAG excretion in 101 patients with Graves' ophthalmopathy of different classes, 36 patients with Graves' hyperthyroidism without ophthalmopathy, 14 patients with toxic nodular goitre and 103 control subjects.
