A communication and a legal approach are combined to investigate stakehold-er involvement in law drafting affecting Sami reindeer herding. The thesis fo-cuses on Finland, participation in law drafting in the Act on Metsähallitus (For-est Management and Park Services) and consultation related to the adoption of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention No. 169 concerning Indigenous and Tribal Peoples in Independent Countries. The Sicily and Calabria Extortion Database was extracted from police and court documents by the Palermo team of the GLODERS — Global Dynamics of Extortion Racket Systems — project which has received funding from the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007–2013) under grant agreement no. 315874 (http://www.gloders.eu, “Global dynamics of extortion racket systems”). En la conquista de Valencia en 1238 y su consecuente cristianización se encuentra la génesis de la ciudad conventual. Con los siglos la presencia creciente y dominante de conventos y monasterios determinó diversos aspectos de la ciudad, siendo el desarrollo urbano uno de ellos. No obstante, la influencia y poder que ejercían estos cenobios fue mermando paulatinamente con la reducción del número de integrantes y de sus fundaciones. El punto de no retorno llega con el siglo XIX cuando las sucesivas desamortizaciones y la consolidación de la burguesía suponen su desvanecimiento.
