Background. Acid–base balance refers to the equilibrium between acids and bases in the human body. Nutrition may affect acid–base balance and further physical performance. With the help of PRAL (potential renal acid load), a low-protein vegetarian diet (LPVD) was designed to enhance the production of bases in body. The value in terms of biodiversity of these forests remains, however, high for they are the last refuge areas for many animals and plant species. La denominación de género sentencioso convoca materiales de muy distinta índole: cuentos, fábulas, proverbios, sentencias y refranes que se caracterizan por una vocación sapiencial y didáctica común. Estos términos, si bien albergan realidades textuales distintas, a menudo fueron considerados como voces sinónimas por los autores medievales. El análisis minucioso de las colecciones dedicadas a dos de estos subgéneros, sentencias y refranes, y de las diferentes formas que en ellas aparecen, propicia una reflexión taxonómica cuya meta es una aproximación más exacta a sus afinidades y diferencias, a sus naturalezas intrínsecas y a sus propiedades.
