Between Private and Public : Corporate art collecting and collaboration with art museums in Finland

In this chapter, I discuss corporate art collections as part of national cultural heritage and semi-public collections. Corporate art is seen through the lenses of collecting, various professions and corporate social responsibility (CSR). I highlight the motives and the meanings of visual art in the context of business and practices of collection development, with the similarities and differences to museums and the museum profession. The essence of corporate art collecting is connected with business objectives, and thus this field of collecting differs in many ways from the objectives of museum collections and ethics. As argued in previous research, access to new media spaces can contribute to the revitalisation of minoritised languages by generating new functions and values for them. Etude numérique et expérimentale de l'assemblage acier aluminium par soudo-brasage

Dans cet article nous étudions le soudo-brasage de tôles d'acier et d'aluminium (par la technique CMT, assemblage à clin). Ces métaux ont des coefficients de dilatation thermique différents, ce qui provoque des déformations, d'où des contraintes mécaniques élevées. Des expériences sur des éprouvettes, une simulation numérique thermomécanique sont menées en parallèle afin de mieux comprendre ces aspects thermiques et mécaniques dans le but de minimiser la déformation de l'assemblage.

Abstract A good understanding of the details of hydrodynamic and heat transport conditions and their impact on temperature polarisation and pressure drops is essential for optimum design of membrane distillation (MD) modules. To this end, the present work reports on initial progress in the development of a tool for 3D simulation of spacer-filled MD channels based on the open source CFD code library OpenFOAM.
