Scandic-hotellien mediajulkisuus suomalaisissa sanomalehdissä vuosina 2000-2012
2013
Change, Resistance to Change and Organizational Cynicism
2016
Abstract Over the past decades, the focus of the scientists has shifted towards the area of organizational change. The concept has been approached from several perspectives and studied by numerous disciplines and refers to a shift or transformation of an organization, of several components of the organization or of the processes that lie within. Being in an environment characterized by competitiveness and complexity, organizations are under a constant need of change, of progress, while the aim of each change is to improve the aspects that make this happen. The dynamics of the labour force market has contributed to the creation of an environment in which organizations are permanently facing …
Legitimacy Lost and Back to Normality: Scandals in the Public Sector – the Swedish Case
2007
Scandals provide an opportunity to generate more knowledge about the process in which organizational legitimacy can be restored. This article is based on a study of all scandals in the Swedish public sector from 1995-1997 and four case studies in four organizations conducted 2003. In scandals in the Swedish public sector, players in leading positions are linked to some transgression, often of a financial nature. The less expected the transgression, the stronger the public reaction and the more the organisation’s legitimacy diminish. A scandal implies a failure for everyone in the organisation. The organisation is subjected to questions, scrutiny and slander. Because the tough scrutiny, it b…
Fixed Angle Inverse Scattering for Almost Symmetric or Controlled Perturbations
2020
We consider the fixed angle inverse scattering problem and show that a compactly supported potential is uniquely determined by its scattering amplitude for two opposite fixed angles. We also show that almost symmetric or horizontally controlled potentials are uniquely determined by their fixed angle scattering data. This is done by establishing an equivalence between the frequency domain and the time domain formulations of the problem, and by solving the time domain problem by extending the methods of [RS19] which adapts the ideas introduced in [BK81] and [IY01] on the use of Carleman estimates for inverse problems.
C1,α-regularity for variational problems in the Heisenberg group
2017
We study the regularity of minima of scalar variational integrals of $p$-growth, $1<p<\infty$, in the Heisenberg group and prove the H\"older continuity of horizontal gradient of minima.
Refined instability estimates for some inverse problems
2022
Many inverse problems are known to be ill-posed. The ill-posedness can be manifested by an instability estimate of exponential type, first derived by Mandache [29]. In this work, based on Mandache's idea, we refine the instability estimates for two inverse problems, including the inverse inclusion problem and the inverse scattering problem. Our aim is to derive explicitly the dependence of the instability estimates on key parameters. The first result of this work is to show how the instability depends on the depth of the hidden inclusion and the conductivity of the background medium. This work can be regarded as a counterpart of the depth-dependent and conductivity-dependent stability estim…

A Continuous Pore Size Gradient PLLA Scaffold For Osteochondral Regeneration
2016
Osteochondral (OC) scaffold-based regenerative approaches in the joint are challenging since the scaffold must provide mechanical strength while also mimicking the local cartilage and bone microenvironments. Thermally Induced Phase Separation (TIPS) can produce scaffolds with a wide range of pore size morphologies/distributions. Here, we produced by TIPS a poly-L-lactide (PLL A) scaffold with a continuous pore size gradient along the sample thickness, from ~70μm diameter on one side to ~200 μm diameter on the opposite surface.
Merging Features from Green's Functions and Time Dependent Density Functional Theory: A Route to the Description of Correlated Materials out of Equil…
2016
We propose a description of nonequilibrium systems via a simple protocol that combines exchange-correlation potentials from density functional theory with self-energies of many-body perturbation theory. The approach, aimed to avoid double counting of interactions, is tested against exact results in Hubbard-type systems, with respect to interaction strength, perturbation speed and inhomogeneity, and system dimensionality and size. In many regimes, we find significant improvement over adiabatic time dependent density functional theory or second Born nonequilibrium Green's function approximations. We briefly discuss the reasons for the residual discrepancies, and directions for future work.
