ABSTRACT The prevalent porcine helminth, Ascaris suum, compromises pig health and reduces farm productivity worldwide. The closely related human parasite, A. lumbricoides, infects more than 800 million people representing a disease burden of 1.31 million disability-adjusted life years. Les courants successifs sont présentés depuis les années 1920 en prenant soin de souligner l'originalité de chaque pays (histoire maritime et "Business History" en Norvège, histoire ouvrière et proto-industrialisation en Suède, étude des échanges en Finlande et au Danemark etc.). Une quarantaine d'ouvrages et articles majeurs sont évoqués, les titres en langues scandinaves (ou finnoise) sont traduits.
Cubic color charge correlator in a proton made of three quarks and a gluon

The three point correlation function of color charge densities is evaluated explicitly in light cone gauge for a proton on the light cone. This includes both $C$-conjugation even and odd contributions. We account for perturbative corrections to the three-quark light cone wave function due to the emission of an internal gluon which is not required to be soft. We verify the Ward identity as well as the cancellation of UV divergences in the sum of all diagrams so that the correlator is independent of the renormalization scale. We review the recent progress in extracting the proton fluctuating substructure by studying exclusive processes at HERA, and the applications of these developments in the interpretation of the LHC heavy ion data. The possibilities to extract the proton geometry directly from the LHC high-multiplicity proton-nucleus and proton-proton collision data is also discussed. peerReviewed

Ergosterol (prowitamina D) jest jednym z głównych składników błon komórkowych grzybów. Ma on obiecujące właściwości immunostymulujące i przeciwrakowe. Muchomor czerwony stanowi bogate źródło ergosterolu, który po ekstrakcji n-heksanem lub octanem etylu łatwo jest otrzymać w formie krystalicznej. Fly agaric was extd. with n-hexane or EtOH optionally under microwave aid to recover ergosta-5,7,22-trien-3β- ol and other steroids. The highest yield was achieved by extn. of the gills, EtOAc was more efficient than n-hexane as a solvent. Cukrzyca typu 2 i przewlekła choroba nerek jako czynniki rokownicze w ostrym zapaleniu trzustki

Przeprowadzono analizę czynników rokowniczych ostrego zapalenia trzustki (OZT). Dokonano krytycznego przeglądu najważniejszych skali rokowniczych OZT: Apache II, Ransona, BISAP, Sofa, Marshalla. Wskazano na ich ograniczenia, ale i przydatność kliniczną we wczesnej stratyfikacji prognostycznej OZT. W diagnostyce różnicowej należy wyodrębniać etiologię alkoholową i żółciopochodną. Występująca przed zachorowaniem cukrzyca typu 2 i przewlekła choroba nerek znamiennie pogarszają przebieg OZT i powinny być włączone do skali rokowniczych. Wykazano, że obecność cukrzycy z poziomem HBA1C powyżej 6,5% wiąże się ze zwiększoną śmiertelnością wśród chorych na OZT i wydłuża się okres hospitalizacji o 5 d…
