Patient Education as an Information System, Healthcare Tool and Interaction

Patient education (PE) has a crucial role in the function of a healthcare organisation. For the care process of a patient, it is essential to get the right information at the right moment and in the right form. This paper analyses PE as the primary mode of interaction between a patient and a healthcare organisation. The approach is illustrated with a study among nurses based on their conceptions about PE. Practical implications and the potential of ICT in PE in particular are discussed. peerReviewed

Obiettivo dell’articolo è analizzare un "nuovo" strumento di pianificazione: lo scenario. Partendo dalle matrici teoriche e storiche alla base dello scenario stesso, e richiamando esempi pregressi di pianificazione, si prosegue nell’analisi al fine di far emergere i punti di forza e quelli critici dello strumento. Anche attraverso un’elencazione ragionata di entrambi, specificando cosa sia possibile pianificare, realizzare, tramite lo scenario, e quali - tra soggetti e Istituzioni - siano gli attori deputati, in che tempi e con quali esiti.

This study explores student teachers’ future design scenarios focusing on promoting children’s mental health literacy through virtual reality (VR) environments. VR use is on the verge of many breakthroughs in several areas of lived experience. One such area pertains to educational contexts. Student teachers were chosen as the subjects of this study due to the likelihood that they will be the primary users and disseminators of these emerging technologies in educational contexts. In contemporary societies we are witnessing an expansion of the messages of human capital. These messages have as their central dimension idea of the self-entrepreneur, which implies a deepening in the logic of activation, while blurring the wage relations.
