Background Oral neural tumors (ONTs) are rare lesions and represent reactive or neoplastic proliferations of nerve sheath cells. The purpose of the present study is to report the clinical, demographic and histopathologic features of 157 ONTs diagnosed in a single Oral Pathology Department and review the pertinent literature. Tumor del estroma gastrointestinal y schwannoma gástricos: una presentación inusual en un paciente sin neurofibromatosis

The majority of gastric neoplasms are of epithelial type. Stromal tumours are the next most frequent and are most commonly gastrointestinal stromal tumours, followed by leiomyoma and schwannoma. We present an exceptional case of a patient with a gastrointestinal stromal tumour with suspicion of residual gastric disease, which was diagnosed post-operatively as a schwannoma.
Echographic patterns of an orbital myxoma and schwannoma

A case of intramuscular orbital myxoma and of a schwannoma of the orbit were studied with B-scan and standardized A-scan echography as described by Ossoinig. The myxoma appeared as a well outlined process with medium internal reflectivity and areas of low internal reflectivity. Postoperatively the incompletely excised tumour was followed with echography as well as CT and MRI. The second tumour, a schwannoma had a very sharply defined shape, with a thick low to medium reflective outer wall and low internal reflectivity. This corresponds to the Antoni A and Antoni B patterns of the excised tumour.

Background: Vestibular schwannomas are benign slow growing tumors arising from VIII cranial nerve. They are potential life threatening benign tumor because of intracranial located. MRI studies are of paramount importance for diagnosis and follow-up measurements during conservative and postinterventional management of vestibular schwannomas (VS). MRI findings that convey important information for hearing-preservation VS surgery are: length of tumor-cochlear nerve contact, involvement of the internal auditory canal, incomplete filling of internal auditory canal, tumor size less than 15 mm and the intralabyrinthine signal intensity on 3DFT-CISS gradient-echo images.
