Symbiotic associations between animals and microbes are ubiquitous in nature, with an estimated 15% of all insect species harboring intracellular bacterial symbionts. Most bacterial symbionts share many genomic features including small genomes, nucleotide composition bias, high coding density, and a paucity of mobile DNA, consistent with long-term host association. In this study, we focus on the early stages of genome degeneration in a recently derived insect-bacterial mutualistic intracellular association. La sentenza della Cassazione 23 marzo 2017 n. 7551 ribadisce il principio che la natura demaniale marittima di un terreno non può essere esclusa se non in forza di un provvedimento amministrativo. Non può pertanto il giudice sostituirsi all’amministrazione in tale valutazione discrezionale. The judgment of the Supreme Court (n° 7551/2017) reiterates the principle according to which the public maritime nature of an area can not be excluded except by virtue of an administrative decision. Therefore, the judge can not substitute the administration for this discretionary assessment.

International audience; This chapter describes both conventional and non‐conventional extraction methods of essential oils (EOs) from herbs and spices. Although hydrodistillation, steam distillation and solvent extraction are the most applied methods, several non‐conventional technologies have been evaluated, especially in respect to EO recovery, and a great potential has been attributed to these non‐conventional methods.
