In the context of English as a global language, more and more people are learning it for the purposes of L2 to L2 communication. Criticism of global coursebooks is that they still operate within an ESL, native-speaker model. This article explores the arguments that these textbooks are culturally biased in favour of the target culture. The literature and studies show that publishers have not reacted to the changes that have happened to the international nature of English, nor have they made any amendments to the content of global coursebooks in reaction to criticism. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing based on offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OFDM-OQAM) is a multicarrier signaling technique which trades off robustness for spectral efficiency when compared to conventional OFDM with a cyclic prefix. Optimum pulse shape for minimum spectral occupancy in FSK signals

The characteristics of a frequency shift keying (FSK) signal giving rise to maximum power within a prescribed frequency band are determined. The baseband pulse shape extends over any integer number of bit periods. An integral equation for the optimum pulse shape is derived and some simple properties of the solution are investigated. The equation has been solved for some values of the product of the prescribed band times the pulse duration and the signal shape is shown. [ES] In 1428 the painter Jaume Mateu, who was trained in the workshop of the international Gothic master of Valencia, Pere Nicolau, painted an altarpiece dedicated to San Blas for the jurist Juan Gomez from Villar del Cobo. The parish church of this town still retains some paintings that belong to an old Gothic altarpiece with scenes of San Sebastián, San Fabián, San Jorge and a Crucifixion. This study analyzes the style of the preserved works and places them in the circle of the Valencian painter documented in Villar.
