Efficiency of dihydroxamic and trihydroxamic siderochelates to extract uranium and plutonium from contaminated soils

International audience; Actinide-based mineral phases occurring in contaminated soils can be solubilized by organic chelators excreted by plants, such as citrate. Herein, the efficiency of citrate towards U and Pu extraction is compared to that of siderophores, whose primary function is the acquisition of iron(III) as an essential nutrient and growth factor for many soil microorganisms. Involvement of nitrate reductase and pyoverdine in competitiveness of Pseudomonas fluorescens strain C7R12 in soil

ABSTRACT Involvement of nitrate reductase and pyoverdine in the competitiveness of the biocontrol strain Pseudomonas fluorescens C7R12 was determined, under gnotobiotic conditions, in two soil compartments (bulk and rhizosphere soil), with the soil being kept at two different values of matric potential (−1 and −10 kPa). Three mutants affected in the synthesis of either the nitrate reductase (Nar − ), the pyoverdine (Pvd − ), or both (Nar − Pvd − ) were used. An optimization problem of content placement in cooperative caching is formulated, with the aim of maximizing sum mean opinion score (MOS) of mobile users. Firstly, a supervised feed-forward back-propagation connectionist model based neural network (SFBC-NN) is invoked for user mobility and content popularity prediction. This paper presents an automatic system for the analysis and classification of atrial fibrillation (AF) patterns from bipolar intracardiac signals. Game theoretical models predict that the main function of fighting behaviour is to assess the relative fighting ability of opponents. The sequential assessment game has often been used to investigate contests, while honest signalling theory has received much less attention. Stoichiometric quantities of triethylsilane in the presence of activated Pd/C as the catalyst can be used to effect chemo-, regio-, and stereoselective hydrosilylation and transfer hydrogenation reactions. α,β-Unsaturated aldehydes and ketones are selectively hydrosilylated to give the corresponding enol silanes or transfer hydrogenated to give the saturated carbonyl compounds in the presence of other reducible functional groups.

Abstract Tertiary and secondary silanes are O-selective. With alcohols the corresponding silyl ethers are formed. Cesium fluoride/imidazole (CsF/Im) is a better activating system than CsF alone. Primary OH groups are silylated remarkably faster under CsF/Im activation than secondary OH groups. Tertiary alcohols do not react.
