An examination of nonresponse in a study on daily family life: I do not have time to participate, but I can tell you something about our life

The aim of this study was to look at the issue of nonresponse and self-selection bias in the context of a family study on daily family life. Data on the participating families and refusers were gathered as part of the wider Palette study in which questionnaires and diaries were used as data collection methods. On the basis of these data (N = 208 participating families and 119 refuser families), we profile the families left outside the study. Pēdējos gados augusi interese par materiāliem ar topoloģiskā izolatora (TI) īpašībām. TI ir tilpumā nevadoši, bet to virsmai piemīt metāliskas īpašības. Lielākā daļa TI ir labi termoelektriski (TE) materiāli istabas temperatūrā. Lai panāktu to, ka virsmas vadītspēja ir dominējoša, vajadzīgs nomākt tilpuma vadītspēju, kas rodas no defektiem. Pirmkārt, tilpuma vadītspēju var samazināt, samazinot vismaz vienu no TI struktūras dimensijām līdz nanoizmēram, kas būtiski palielina virsmas – tilpuma attiecību, kā arī veicot materiāla vakanču kompensējošu leģēšanu. Unlocking mixed oxides with unprecedented stoichiometries from heterometallic metalorganic frameworks for the catalytic hydrogenation of CO 2

[EN] Their complex surface chemistry and high oxygen lattice mobilities place mixed-metal oxides among the most important families of materials. Modulation of stoichiometry in mixed-metal oxides has been shown to be a very powerful tool for tuning optical and catalytic properties. However, accessing different stoichiometries is not always synthetically possible.
