La Esferocitosis Hereditaria (EH) es la anemia hemolítica crónica más frecuente en el mundo. Se produce por una alteración de las proteínas de membrana del eritrocito, lo que le confiere una menor capacidad para deformarse al hematíe y por tanto una vida media más corta. La hemólisis crónica mantenida produce anemia, ictericia y esplenomegalia. La EH se puede dividir en grupos según su gravedad (leve, moderado, grave) en función de sus valores de hemoglobina, reticulocitos y bilirrubina. La enfermedad de Gilbert se produce por una disminución de la glucuronización de la bilirrubina, produciendo un aumento de bilirrubina e ictericia clínica. In the intensely urbanized towns the effect of climatic parameters is further emphasized by the Urban Heat Island (UHI) phenomenon, known as the increase in the air temperature of urban areas, compared to the one measured in the extra-urban areas.
