In 2005 four outstanding multiple burials were discovered near Eulau, Germany. The 4,600-year-old graves contained groups of adults and children buried facing each other. Skeletal and artifactual evidence and the simultaneous interment of the individuals suggest the supposed families fell victim to a violent event. In a multidisciplinary approach, archaeological, anthropological, geochemical (radiogenic isotopes), and molecular genetic (ancient DNA) methods were applied to these unique burials. A solid-phase ELISA was set up to measure the direct binding capacity (BC) of different, commercially available, purified human IgA preparations to plates coated with human fibronectin (FN). It was found that secretory, polymeric, and, to a much lesser extent, monomeric IgA exhibited elevated FN-BC as compared to their BC to plates coated with bovine serum albumin. This binding was specific since not observed with human IgG or IgM antibodies. The analysis of the human remains from the megalithic tomb at Alto de Reinoso represents the widest integrative study of a Neolithic collective burial in Spain. Combining archaeology, osteology, molecular genetics and stable isotope analysis (87Sr/86Sr, δ15N, δ13C) it provides a wealth of information on the minimum number of individuals, age, sex, body height, pathologies, mitochondrial DNA profiles, kinship relations, mobility, and diet. The grave was in use for approximately one hundred years around 3700 cal BC, thus dating from the Late Neolithic of the Iberian chronology. The S-Phase Cyclin A Associated Protein In The ER (SCAPER) gene is a ubiquitously expressed gene with unknown function in the brain. Recently, biallelic SCAPER variants were described in four patients from three families with retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and intellectual disability (ID). Here, we expand the spectrum of pathogenic variants in SCAPER and report on 10 further patients from four families with ID, RP, and additional dysmorphic features carrying homozygous variants in SCAPER. Methods Cell viability was assayed on tumour (HepG2, PC12, Caco-2 and 4T1) and non-tumour (VERO, 3T3, CHO, MCDK and BHK2) cell lines. Aim: To determine a recommended Phase II dose of the oral fluoropyrimidine trifluridine/tipiracil (FTD/TPI) combined with the multi-kinase inhibitor regorafenib (REG) in refractory metastatic colorectal cancer patients. Materials & methods: A conventional 3 + 3 dose finding design was used. FTD/TPI was administered on days 1–5 and 8–12 of a 28-day cycle, REG on days 2–22. Two dose levels were used: FTD/TPI 25 mg/m2 b.i.d. + REG 120 mg/d, then escalated to FTD/TPI 35 mg/m2 b.i.d. + REG 120 mg/d. Results: In total, 12 patients were treated at two dose levels. Groups are more effective when positive bonds are established and interpersonal conflicts resolved in early sessions and work is accomplished in later sessions. Previous research has provided mixed support for this group development model. We performed a test of this theoretical perspective using group members' (actors) and aggregated group members' (partners) perceptions of positive bonding, positive working, and negative group relationships measured early and late in interpersonal growth groups.
