A GRASP algorithm for the container stowage slot planning problem

This work presents a generalization of the Slot Planning Problem which raises when the liner shipping industry needs to plan the placement of containers within a vessel (stowage planning). State-of-the-art stowage planning relies on a heuristic decomposition where containers are first distributed in clusters along the vessel. For each of those clusters a specific position for each container must be found. Compared to previous studies, we have introduced two new features: the explicit handling of rolled out containers and the inclusion of separations rules for dangerous cargo. Radiation-engineered poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone) nanogels are very interesting biocompatible nanocarriers for i.v. administration of therapeutics and contrast agents for bioimaging among other applications. Nanogels are usually produced upon irradiation of dilute aqueous polymer solutions. Under these conditions, the polymer radicals formed primarily react via intramolecular radical-radical combination forming intramolecular crosslinks. Homopolymerization of styrenic monomers (St, p ‐Me‐St, p ‐t Bu‐St, p ‐t BuO‐St) and their copolymerization with ethylene, with the use of [( t Bu2O2NN′)ZrCl]2(μ‐O) (1 ) and ( t Bu2O2NN′)TiCl2 (2 ), where t Bu2O2NN′ = Me2N(CH2)2N(CH2‐2‐O−‐3,5‐t Bu2‐C6H2)2, is explored in the presence of MMAO and (i Bu)3Al/Ph3CB(C6F5)4. The ethylene/styrenic monomers copolymerization with 1 /MMAO produces exclusively copolymers with high activity and good comonomer incorporation whereas the other catalytic systems yield mixtures of copolymers and homopolymers. The polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) additivated polystyrene (PS) based nanocomposites were pre- pared by melt processing and the structure-properties relationships of the POSS-PS systems were compared to those of the neat PS. In order to investigate the effect of these structural parameters on the final properties of the polymer nanocompos- ites, five different kinds of POSS samples were used, in particular, POSS with different inorganic cage and with different organic pendent groups. International audience; Local pollen deposition in human-influenced vegetation types is studied with the aim of establishing the relationship between arable-weed vegetation and its pollen representation as an aid in interpreting human presence and impact on vegetation from pollen assemblages. The study area is located in the Franche-Comté region, eastern part of France. The presence of plants within 100 m2 plots and their pollen representation in moss samples within the same plots was recorded from different crops and annual fallows.
