Automatic Processing Scheme for Low Laser Invasiveness Electro Optical Frequency Mapping mode
2016
International audience; Electro optical techniques are efficient backside contactless techniques usually used for design debug and defect location in modern VLSI. Unfortunately, the signal to noise ratio is quite low and depends on laser power with potential device stress due to long acquisition time or high laser power, especially in up to date technologies. Under these conditions, to maintain a good signal or image quality, specific signal or image processing techniques can be implemented. In this paper, we proposed a new spatial filtering by stationary wavelets and contrast enhancement which allows the use of low laser power and short acquisition time in image mode.
Monstruosities under the inkcap mushrooms
2006
Comunicación presentada al VI Meeting on Genetics and Cellular Biology of Basidiomycetes (GCBB-VI), organizado por y celebrado en la Universidad Pública de Navarra el 3-6 de junio de 2005. Four different Inkcaps were isolated from horse dung and tested for growth on different medium. In addition to normal-shaped mushrooms, three of the isolates formed fruiting body-like structures resembling the anamorphs of Rhacophyllus lilaceus, a species originally believed to be asexual. Teleomorphs of this species were later found and are known as Coprinus clastophyllus, respectively Coprinopsis clastophylla. The fourth of our isolates also forms mushrooms but most of them are of crippled shape. Well-s…
Crocidura cossyrensis Contoli, 1989 (Mammalia, Soricidae): karyotype, biochemical genetics and hybridization experiments
2004
The shrew Crocidura cossyrensis Contoli, 1989 from Pantelleria (I), a Mediterranean island 100 km south of Sicily and 70 km west from Tunisia, was investigated in order to understand its origin and its relationship with C. russula from Tunisia, Morocco and Switzerland. With the exception of a single heterozygote centric fusion, C. cossyrensis had a karyotype identical with that of C. russula from Tunisia (2N = 42, NF = 70 to 72), but it differed from C. russula from Morocco and Switzerland (2N = 42, NF = 60). The former have 5-6 pairs of chromosomes with small arms that are acrocentric in the latter. Genetic comparisons with allozyme data revealed small genetic distance (0.04) between C. co…
The cultivation of Pleurotus and Lentinus mushrooms in tropical and subtropical areas: an overview
2010
The cultivation of edible mushrooms dates back a long time (CHANG & QUIMIO, 1982). The oyster mushrooms [Pleurotus (Fr.) P. Kumm.] are among the most popular edible mushrooms, and their cultivation is practiced throughout the world (KONG, 2004). P. ostreatus (Jacq.) P. Kumm. is the most widely-cultivated Pleurotus species for which many commercial strains have been developed. Other Pleurotus spp., i.e. P. cystidiosus O.K. Mill., P. djamor (Rumph. ex Fr.) Boedijn and P. pulmomarius (Fr.) Quél., are also exploited in both tropical and subtropical regions. In addition, Lentinus tuber-regium (Fr.) Fr., a common mushroom species in the southern part of Nigeria, is being studied and cultivated fo…
Influence of cavity type and size of composite restorations on cuspal flexure
2006
Objectives: The present study examines the influence of cavity type, and size of composite restorations on cuspal flexure due to polymerization shrinkage. Methods: Thirty healthy premolars were selected and divided into two experimental groups. Group 1: Mesial, mesiodistal, and MOD cavities were successively prepared in each tooth by means of the SONICSYS approx system (KaVo ®) using a nº 2 (small) diamond tip. Group 2: The same cavity preparation sequence was followed but a nº 3 (medium) tip was used. Cavity preparations were performed and afterwards restored using the same adhesive system and resin composite. Cuspal displacement was measured 15 min after completion of each type of restora…
Polysaccharides from Pleurotus eryngii var. elaeoselini (Agaricomycetes), a New Potential Culinary-Medicinal Oyster Mushroom from Italy.
2020
Three water-soluble glucans (PELPS-A1, PELPS-A2, and PELPS-A3) purified from the hot water extract of the basidiomata of an edible mushroom Pleurotus eryngii var. elaeoselini by chromatography on DEAE-cellulose 32 and Sephadex G-100 column were found to consist of only D-glucose as monosaccharide constituent. Structural investigation was carried out by acid hydrolysis, periodate oxidation, and NMR experiments (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DQF-COSY, TOCSY, ROESY, HMQC, and HMBC). On the basis of these experiments, the structures of the repeating unit of the three isolated polysaccharides were established as follows: (1) PELPS-A1: {[→3)-α-D-Glcp-(1→]3→4)-α-D-Glcp-(1→2)-α-D-Glcp-(1→6)-α-D-Glcp-(1[→6)-β-D-…
Phytochemical Constituents, Antioxidant Activity, and Toxicity Assessment of the Aerial Part Extracts from the Infraspecific Taxa of Matthiola frutic…
2021
In a project designed to investigate the specific and infraspecific taxa of Matthiola endemic to Sicily (Italy) as new potential sources of bioactive compounds in this work, the infraspecific taxa of Matthiola fruticulosa were studied, namely, subsp. fruticulosa and subsp. coronopifolia. HPLC–PDA/ESI–MS and SPME–GC/MS analyses of hydroalcoholic extracts obtained from the aerial parts of the two subspecies led to the detection of 51 phenolics and 61 volatile components, highlighting a quite different qualitative–quantitative profile. The antioxidant properties of the extracts were explored through in vitro methods: 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), reducing power and Fe2+ chelating activ…
Determination of polymerization shrinkage stress by means of a photoelastic investigation
2002
This study examined the polymerization stress of different established composite resins (Tetric Ceram, Vivadent; EsthetX, Surefil, Dentsply/DeTrey; Clearfil AP-X, Clearfil Photo Posterior, Kuraray; Prodigy Condensable, sds Kerr; Filtek P 60, 3M ESPE; Solitaire 2, Heraeus-Kulzer) by means of a photo-elastic investigation and investigated six new, experimental composite resins, which have been claimed to exhibit less polymerization shrinkage (InTen-S, Vivadent; K 112, K 051, Dentsply/DeTrey; Compox, Pluto, Hermes 3M ESPE).Cylindrical cavities (phi 5 mm) in Araldit B epoxide resin plates (40 x 40 x 3 mm3) were pretreated with the Rocatec system to ensure bonding of the composite resin. Ten com…
Non-chromatographic speciation of mercury in mushrooms
2016
A fast, sensitive and cheap procedure has been developed for the determination of inorganic mercury (i-Hg) and organic mercury (o-Hg) in mushroom samples. The procedure is based on the use of cold vapour atomic fluorescence spectrometry (CV-AFS). The method involves the extraction of total mercury (t-Hg) with diluted HCl, followed by measurements of the corresponding Hg vapour under two different conditions: (i) directly to determine i-Hg, and (ii) after oxidation with a mixture KBr/KBrO3 to determine t-Hg. o-Hg was estimated from the difference between t-Hg and i-Hg. Previous studies were focused on the assessment of different reagents for mercury extraction and breakdown of organomercury …
Shrinking and boundedly complete Schauder frames in Fréchet spaces
2014
We study Schauder frames in Fréchet spaces and their duals, as well as perturbation results. We define shrinking and boundedly complete Schauder frames on a locally convex space, study the duality of these two concepts and their relation with the reflexivity of the space. We characterize when an unconditional Schauder frame is shrinking or boundedly complete in terms of properties of the space. Several examples of concrete Schauder frames in function spaces are also presented.
