The discussion around children’s digital game culture has resulted in two contradictory images of children: the passive, antisocial children uncritically and mechanically consuming digital game content and the active, social children creatively using and interacting with digital game content. Our aim is to examine how these seemingly contradictory ideas of “active” and “passive” children could be considered. Inclusive education as an alternative to traditional separate special education has gained recognition since the approval of the Salamanca Statement in 1994. The success of inclusion is considered to be highly dependent on the teachers’ positions on inclusion. In this study Finnish comprehensive school teachers’ opinions were investigated in order to evaluate the prospects of inclusion in Finland, and also to study the variables associated with these attitudes. Committing, engaging and negotiating : Teachers’ stories about creating shared spaces for co-teaching

The study examined teachers’ stories on developing co-teaching partnerships. The narratives of three two-teacher teams were used to illustrate joint professional landscapes. The teams narrated the development process as one in which commitment, engagement and negotiation were the key elements in shaping their professional landscapes. The findings indicate wide variation in the role of shared understanding and related engagement in co-constructing co-teaching practices. peerReviewed

Tutkielman tarkoituksena on selvittää, kuinka Fight Club romaanissa käsitellään transgressiivistä kaunokirjallisuutta. Tutkimuksessa hyödynnetään metodina lähilukutekniikkaa, jossa aineisto analysoidaan keskittyen transgressiivisiin teemoihin sekä narratiivisiin rakenteisiin. Tämän tutkimuksen kohteena ovat päiväkodin työntekijöiden kokemukset lasten aggressiivisesta käyttäytymisestä. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää, millaista päiväkodin työntekijöiden kohtaama lasten aggressiivinen käyttäytyminen on ja kuinka usein sitä kohdataan. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli myös selvittää, millaisia toimintatapoja työntekijät käyttävät aggressiivisesti käyttäytyvän lapsen kohtaamisessa ja millainen merkitys näillä kohtaamisilla on heidän työmotivaatioonsa.
