Adopting a child is not a legal concept recognized in Islamic law, which, while giving great importance to orphans and children’s rights, has introduced the legal institution of the Kafala. This institution can be defined as a commitment by the kafil to ensure maintenance, education and protection of a minor makfoul until his legal majority, in the same way as would a father to his son, but without creating any family relationship. For these reasons the Kafala cannot be compared to an international adoption, which, contrariwise, entails the creation of a parent-child relationship. The course revolves around medieval philosophy, although it is problematic to speak of philosophy in the singular, of the Middle Ages as a time period and even of the connection between the two terms.

Attraverso lo studio epigrafico di alcune monete e l’analisi e la rilettura di un testo dello storico Ibn ʼIdhari (XIII-XIV sec.) l’autrice ricostruisce il quadro politico e finanziario che indussero l’Emiro Ibrāhīm II a introdurre, attraverso una riforma monetaria, il decimo di dirham. Il saggio getta quindi nuova luce sul progressivo frazionamento della moneta argentea e sulla successiva comparsa della “ḫarrūba” siciliana di epoca fatimita.

Tutkimukseni tarkoituksena on selvittää musiikinopettajien näkemyksiä ja kokemuksia moniuskontoisuuden haasteista ja mahdollisuuksista peruskoulun musiikinopetuksessa. Tarkastelun alla ovat musiikin erilaiset merkitykset, ainekohtainen opetussuunnitelma sekä ajankohtaiset kannanotot eri organisaatioilta, foorumeilta ja alan asiantuntijoilta moniuskontoisuuteen sekä koulun toimintakulttuuriin (juhlat) liittyen suomalaista kulttuuriperintöä ajatellen. Fyysisen inaktiivisuuden ongelma on viime vuosina noussut Suomessa yhä voimakkaammin julkiseen keskusteluun. Yksi ehdotetuista ongelman ratkaisumalleista on lähiliikuntapaikkarakentaminen, joka on yksi 2000-luvun liikuntapaikkarakentamisen päätrendeistä Suomessa. Lähiliikuntapaikka on helposti saavutettava ja monipuoliset liikuntamahdollisuudet tarjoava matalan kynnyksen liikuntapaikka, jonka käyttö on ilmaista. Lähiliikuntapaikkoja on tutkittu lähinnä lasten liikkumisen kannalta, vaikka ne tarjoavat liikuntamahdollisuuksia myös aikuisille.
