Traditional liberal education has provided one-size-fits-all schooling, followed by neoliberal policies in the past 30 years, resulting in losing the purpose of education to build well-rounded personalities and to ensure quality education for all. Instead, the ideal today is the homo economicus able to further personal goals on self-interest, and the global divide between the haves and have-nots has increased. Pētījums sastāv no 4 daļām. Pirmajā daļā ir raksturotas transporta un uzglabāšanas nozares attīstības tendences Latvijā, apkopotas un analizētas zinātnieku atziņas par nozares darba vides risku noteicošiem faktoriem un tipiskām arodslimībām, izpētītas darba drošības tendences Latvijā. Literatūras analīze uzrāda, ka kravas pārvadājumu autovadītāji savā ikdienas darbā saskaras ar mehāniskiem un traumatisma, fizikāliem, ergonomiskiem, ķīmisko vielu, putekļu, bioloģiskiem un psihosociāliem riska faktoriem. In August 1969 Hurricane Camille hit the Mississippi coast. We argue that the disaster caused by the Hurricane was an outcome of the entanglement between human and non-human agents. As a non-human agent, Hurricane Camille thrust the prevailing socio-economic situation in the segregationist South into the spotlight, with all its political and cultural ramifications – much to the annoyance of the local political elite that had long sought to isolate southern politics from civil rights and the desegregation agenda. 833 Latvijas iedzīvotāji dēļ ekstremitāšu artēriju aterosklerozes, laika periodā no 2010. līdz 2013. gadam, ir ieguvuši pirmreizēju invaliditāti. Šī problēma skar lielu daļu sabiedrības, tādēļ ir svarīgi izpētīt faktorus, kas ietekmē dzīves kvalitāti šiem cilvēkiem. Diplomdarba mērķis ir vērtēt dzīves kvalitāti ilgtermiņā aterosklerozes pacientiem pēc transfemorālas amputācijas. Šajā darbā autors analizē ārzemju zinātniskās literatūras datus un salīdzina ar diplomdarba pētījuma praktiskajā daļā iegūtajiem rezultātiem. Dati iegūti, telefoniski aptaujājot pacientus, kuriem no 2010. – 2013. gadam tika veiktas transfemorālas amputācijas aterosklerozes dēļ. Analizējot rezultātus, tika secināts, …
Hromatiskās modulācijas kontrastjutības testa izveidošana

Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts uz 35 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 22 attēlus, 3 tabulas, 34 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis: Izveidot jaunu hromatiskas modulācijas kontrastjutības datorizēto testu un aprobēt testu cilvēkiem ar krāsu redzes defektiem un bez krāsu redzes defektiem. Pētījuma piedalījās 7 dalībnieki, no kuriem 2 bija deuteranomālija ar dažādu smaguma pakāpi. Tika noteikta hromatiskas kontrastjutības likne katram dalībniekam.
