Maģistra darba ietvaros izvērtēta divu Krimināllikumā pastāvošu institūtu – sodāmības un personas tiesību ierobežošanas atbilstība taisnīga soda pamatprincipiem. Darbā pētīta aktuālākā personas tiesību ierobežošanas un sodāmības problemātika un šo institūtu atbilstība Satversmes tiesas un Eiropas Cilvēktiesību tiesas judikatūrai. Tarkastelen tutkielmassa isovanhempieni Helmi ja Reino Yli-Luukon vuonna 1944 jatkosodan aikana käymää kirjeenvaihtoa. Käytetty kirjeenvaihto katkesi viideksi kuukaudeksi, kun Reino Yli-Luukko jäi sotavangiksi heinäkuussa 1944. Kirjeenvaihdossa rakentuu kuva kirjoittajien tavoista kuroa umpeen poissaoloa, sen vaikutuksista toisen osapuolen kadotessa, ja miten yhteydet luodaan uudelleen aviomiehen palatessa viestiyhteyksien ulottumattomista. Tarkastelutapani sijoittuu uuden sotahistorian teoreettiseen viitekehykseen. Soda noteikšanas vispārīgie un speciālie principi, jeb kritēriji pēc kuriem jāvadās tiesai, prokuroram, nosakot sodu, katrā konkrētā lietā, pastāv jau kopš pirmatnējās sabiedrības laikiem, kad sodu sistēmas pamatā bija atmaksas ētika. Šie principi ir stingri jāievēro katra soda piemērošanā konkrētai personai, sodam ir jābūt individualizētam un attiecīgi pamatotam, lai to veiksmīgi izdarītu ir jāatsaucās uz soda noteikšanas principiem. Pēc autora domām bieži vien tiesu praksē uz šiem principiem neatsaucās pietiekami detalizēti un pamatoti.
Cationic microemulsion hosting polynucleotides: Effect of NaCl on host and guest

The structural features of the quaternary water-in-oil microemulsion CTAB/n-hexane/n-pentanol/water in the presence of fairly high concentrations of NaCl and of relatively high molecular weight polynucleotides have been determined. Even in these severe conditions, the hosting system can still be depicted as formed by water droplets stabilised by a surfactant/cosurfactant layer. Moreover, the time stability of the host/guest system has been evaluated and the phase behaviour of the hosting system in the presence of increasing concentrations of NaCl determined.

BACKGROUND: Due to the side effects of chlorhexidine digluconate (CHX) mouthrinsing, a spray has been proposed as an alternative method of CHX delivery to the oral cavity. The aim of this study was to investigate the plaque inhibitory effects of CHX, cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), and triclosan (TRN) delivered by sprays and mouthrinses. METHODS: The study was an observer-masked, randomized cross-over design balanced for carryover effects, involving 15 healthy volunteers in a 4-day plaque regrowth model. Effects of integrating a bioethanol production process to a kraft pulp mill

Abstract The integration of an ethanol production process based on prehydrolysis of softwood chips to a kraft pulp mill is discussed. A simulation model of this biorefinery has been created with WinGEMS simulation software to calculate the mass and energy balances of the biorefinery and to examine the effects of the integration on the operation of the pulp mill. Integrating the prehydrolysis process to the modeled pulp mill producing 1000 Adt/day of pine pulp would increase the wood consumption by 16%. This article investigates how war between humans and aliens is framed in the original and reimagined versions of the SF television series V and the affective responses and ethical considerations that these frames evoke. Inspired by the work of Judith Butler and Sarah Ahmed and by posthumanist thinking, I analyse how SF television takes part in the cultural formation of “livable lives” for both human and nonhuman beings.
