Analysis of the Impact of the Triple Helix on Sustainable Innovation Targets in Spanish Technology Companies

The establishment of broad-based networks, such as the Triple Helix, for innovation and sustainability is sufficiently corroborated. In this work we suggest that the information received from the Triple Helix has a significant and different impact on the objectives of sustainable innovation, depending on whether companies cooperate or not. To this end, an empirical analysis of a stratified sample of more than 5000 Spanish medium and high technology companies in 2010-2014-2015 was carried out. The results confirm that companies that do not cooperate place more importance on the information received from the Triple Helix to establish their sustainable innovation targets.

Hybrid robust and fast algorithm for three-dimensional phase unwrapping

We present a hybrid three-dimensional (3D) unwrapping algorithm that combines the strengths of two other fast and robust existing techniques. In particular, a branch-cut surface algorithm and a path-following method have been integrated in a symbiotic way, still keeping execution times within a range that permits their use in real-time applications that need a relatively fast solution to the problem. First, branch-cut surfaces are calculated, disregarding partial residue loops that end at the boundary of the 3D phase volume. Clustering-based robust three-dimensional phase unwrapping algorithm

Relatively recent techniques that produce phase volumes have motivated the study of three-dimensional (3D) unwrapping algorithms that inherently incorporate the third dimension into the process. We propose a novel 3D unwrapping algorithm that can be considered to be a generalization of the minimum spanning tree (MST) approach. The technique combines characteristics of some of the most robust existing methods: it uses a quality map to guide the unwrapping process, a region growing mechanism to progressively unwrap the signal, and also cut surfaces to avoid error propagation. Toxicological assessment of mesoporous silica particles in the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans

[EN] Here we report the toxicological evaluation of mesoporous silica particles (MSPs) in the nematode C. elegans. Specifically, we have investigated the effect of bare micro- (M0) and nano-sized (N0) MSPs, and their corresponding functionalized particles with a starch derivative (Glu-N) (M1 and N1, respectively) on C. elegans ageing parameters. The toxicity of MSPs, their impact on C. elegans lifespan, movement capacity, progeny and ability to survive upon exposure to acute oxidative stress were assessed. This paper offers an insight to the description of the tag question ¿no ve? in the variety of Spanish spoken by bilinguals of Aymara-Spanish. The analysis identifies the relation between the position of ¿no ve? and its pragmatic functions. Furthermore, it displays the multidimensionality of this tag question that may operate on different conversational layers at the same time. The study also describes the impact of social factors (sex, age and education) on the use of ¿no ve?. The original data used for the present analysis comes from the Corpus oral del español hablado por bilingües de aymara-español (Quartararo 2021).
