Resumen El origen de esta tesis doctoral se basa en la tesis de fin de Máster en Lenguas y Literaturas que realicé en la Universitat de València durante el curso 2011-2012. Dicha tesis se centraba en el legado poético escrito en inglés en España por los brigadistas miembros de la XV Brigada Internacional durante la Guerra Civil Española. Una vez establecido el estado de la cuestión, nos volcamos por un lado en la bibliografía al respecto, con la intención de revisar las ediciones y antologías donde estos poemas hubieran sido publicados, y por otro, en el contexto histórico en que esa poesía fue publicada. En la bibliografía general de los estudios lingüísticos sobre la variedad híbrida del español estadounidense, conocida como Spanglish, es posible observar cómo la gran mayoría de ellos se han centrado, principalmente, en su definición (Torres Torres, 2016) y en aspectos sociolingüísticos, siempre manteniendo un desacuerdo total entre las diferentes partes. Junto a esa reflexión, hoy en día, no se dispone todavía de una gramática (Enghels, Van Belleghen y Vande Casteele, 2020) o un conjunto de textos que recoja todos los patrones lingüísticos normativizados respecto a los fenómenos léxicos y morfosintácticos de dicha modalidad. Correlation between body size and longevity : New analysis and data covering six taxonomic classes of vertebrates

Large bodied species are known to live longer than small bodied species. However, it is less clear whether the positive correlation varies across taxa. In this short communication, we combine data entries from literature and databases on body mass and maximum life span for 3722 species covering taxonomic Classes Chondrichthyes, Teleostei, Amphibia, Reptilia, Aves, and Mammalia. We then analyse the log(maximum life span) – log(body mass) relationship using generalized linear model with nested random intercepts and slopes for Class/Order/Family.
