Turve- ja metsätalouden vaikutukset kahden metsäjärven surviaissääskiyhteisöihin : paleolimnologinen tutkimus

Tutkielmassa selvitettiin turve- ja metsätalouden vaikutuksia Martinjärven ja Iso Kivijärven surviaissääskiyhteisöihin paleolimnologisen menetelmän avulla. Järvien sedimenttiprofiileita tarkasteltiin viimeisen 400 vuoden ajalta. Järvet ovat pieniä, matalia humusjärviä ja sijaitsevat Keski-Suomessa Keuruulla vierekkäisillä valuma-alueilla. Surviaissääskiyhteisöjen muutosten perusteella tutkittiin järvien rehevyystason ja humoosisuuden muutoksia ennen ja jälkeen metsätalouden ja turvetuotannon aloittamista. Basic psychological needs and people’s experiences affect the choices they make, and further shape the trajectories followed through school. The present study focuses on the perspectives of people who left school without graduating. Through narrative interviewing processes we collected the storied experiences of eleven imprisoned early school leavers in Finland. We triangulated data-driven themes and used as theory the concept of three basic psychological needs: autonomy, competence, and relatedness. “Optime educatus” : Book historical perspectives on Prince Sigismund’s education in sixteenth-century Sweden

The article analyses some aspects of writing in Prince Sigismund Vasa’s (1566-1632) education in the latter half of sixteenth-century Sweden. The focus is on the rare, hand-written material of his youth, which reflects the educational ideals, practices and strategies in the inter-confessional Jagiellon–Vasa family and at their court(s) in the context of a complex political situation. One example is young Sigismund’s salutation to the Pope included in her mother’s, Catherine Jagiellon’s (1526-1583), letter. In addition, two letters held at the Riksarkivet (Swedish National Archives), Stockholm, categorized as “royal autographs” are explored and transcribed for the first time. peerReviewed

The current study deals with the representation of hospital hygiene. The purpose is twofold: 1- to understand how knowledge about hygiene is acquired by nursing staff during their training (effect of the level of knowledge); 2- to identify how this knowledge evolves while practising a job in direct connection with hygiene (effect of practice). Three groups of participants were questioned: nursing staff (nursing executives, nurses and nursing auxiliaries), students training in nursing care (first, second and third year students) and non-specialist students. Scopo del presente lavoro è stato quello di analizzare la resistenza alla frattura di quattro resine del commercio (Jet Kit, Duralay, Protemp 3 e Systempt C&B), usate per la fabbricazione di protesi parziali provvisorie fisse. Sono stati realizzati venti provini sperimentali di dimensioni standardizzate seguendo le istruzioni dei fabbricanti, suddivisi in quattro gruppi, uno per ciascuno dei quattro materiali testati. The organization and dynamics of microtubules (MTs) and the actin cytoskeleton are critical for the correct development and functions of neurons, including intracellular traffic and signaling. In vitro ethanol exposure impairs endocytosis, exocytosis, and nucleocytoplasmic traffic in astrocytes and alters endocytosis in cultured neurons. In astrocytes, these effects relate to changes in the organization and/or function of MTs and the actin cytoskeleton.
