Maģistra darbā „Bohēmas atspoguļojums latviešu literatūrā (1918—1945): indivīda brīvības diskurss” aplūkots, kā dažādu latviešu autoru daiļradē tiek attēlota bohēma un ar to saistītais. Galvenais mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai latviešu literatūrā atspoguļotā bohēma padara bohēmas pārstāvi jeb indivīdu brīvu. Britu un amerikāņu angļu valodas lietojums starptautisku uzņēmumu sapulču protokolos

Darbs tika balstīts uz citos pētījumos plaši analizētajām atšķirībām starp britu angļu valodu un amerikāņu angļu valodu. Pētījuma uzdevums bija analizēt atšķirības starp britu un amerikāņu angļu valodu, kas izmantotas starptautisku uzņēmumu sapulču protokolos. Lai sasniegtu mērķi, tika izmantota kvalitatīvā un kvantitatīvā analīze. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot visbiežāk izmantoto angļu valodas variantu starptautisko uzņēmumu sapulču protokolos un tā iemeslus. Tika secināts, ka atšķirības starp britu un amerikāņu angļu valodu novērojamas gramatikā, interpunkcijā, vārdu krājumā, pareizrakstībā. Sosiaalinen media tuo organisaatiot ja yleisöt yhteiselle areenalle, jossa organisaatioiden on keksittävä uusia tapoja saadakseen yleisöjen huomion sekä pitääkseen viestinsä pinnalla ja jossa yleisöillä on mahdollisuus kyseenalaistaa organisaatioita. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää tilannetta, jossa yleisö kaappaa organisaation Twitter- kampanjan hashtagin ja kääntää kampanjan organisaatiota vastaan. D. T. Sudzuki ir domātājs, kurš izvirza pieņēmumu, ka Meistars Ekharts savos darbos pauž uzskatus, kas ir ļoti tuvi vai pat vienādi ar budisma filozofiju, kaut arī 13.gadsimtā Eiropā budisms nebija zināms.

Visually induced motion sickness is an unpleasant but common side-effect of many simulations and VR-applications. We investigated whether an earth-fixed reference frame provided in the simulation is able to reduce motion sickness. To do so, we created a moving starfield that did not contain any indicators of the spatial orientation of the observer. The observer wore a head-mounted display (HTC Vive) and was simulated to move through the randomly oscillating starfield, a time-to-contact task had to be carried out. <em>Saccharomyces boulardii</em>: probiotic yeast for craft beer production, growth analysis and biovolume estimation

In recent years, an increase in the consumer interest has been observed for craft beers, which are unpasteurized and unfiltered. Thus, the use of probiotic starters remaining in the craft beers could significantly increase health benefits. Here, the first study on the use of the probiotic Sacharomyces boulardii (Sb) yeast as single starter for craft brewing at 20 L scale is presented. The probiotic biomass growth was studied in bioreactor batch culture and modelled by the logistic and Gompertz equations. Finally, the probiotic biovolume of Sb was estimated from microscopy images.
