This study assessed the feasibility and reproducibility of a previously validated temperament test (TT) for shelter dogs. The test was developed to measure dog behaviour in the kennel, and traits of sociability towards people and other dogs, docility to leash, playfulness, cognitive skills, and reactivity. Maahanmuuttajan lähtömaan ja Suomen kulttuurierot ilmenevät myös koulussa. Eroja on oppisisällöissä ja niissä etenemisen tahdissa sekä oppilaalta edellytettävissä opiskelutaidoissa. Invertebrate biomass is considered one of the main factors driving processes in ecosystems. It can be measured directly, primarily by weighing individuals, but more often indirect estimators are used. We developed two indirect and non-destructive approaches to estimate biomass of small invertebrates in a simple manner. The first one was based on clay modelling and the second one was based on image analysis implemented with open-source software. Furthermore, we tested the accuracy of the widely used geometric approximation method (third method). Virtual worlds have become very popular and there have been some attempts to find the motivations and experiences of using them. The aim of this paper is to analyze the motivations and experiences of young ones to utilize virtual worlds. The paper identifies the activities that children perform in virtual worlds, features they use as well as the reasons for abandoning these virtual worlds. The paper presents results of a qualitative field study. The results indicate that features that are liked in the virtual worlds are similar to games. Preventing reverse engineering of native and managed programs

One of the important aspects of protecting software from attack, theft of algorithms, or illegal software use is eliminating the possibility of performing reverse engineering. One common method used to deal with these issues is code obfuscation. However, it is proven to be ineffective. Code encryption is a much more effective means of defying reverse engineering, but it requires managing a cryptographic key available to none but the permissible users. The thesis presents a system for managing cryptographic keys in a protected environment and supporting execution of encrypted code. The system has strong security guarantees. Artikkelissa esittelemme kahden Adolf von Beckerin nimiin signeeratun Ateljeessa-teoksen tutkimusta taidehistorian, maalaustekniikan ja materiaalitutkimuksen näkökulmista. Samalla pyrimme tuomaan esiin mitä uutta moniammatillinen yhteistyö ja luonnontieteessä käytetyt menetelmät on tuoneet taideteosten tutkimukseen. Tutkimuksessa voitiin osoittaa, että toinen teoksista on alkuperäinen ja toinen on kopio siitä. Kopion maalaajaksi osoittautui Hilda Granstedt.
