Covid-19-pandemian vaikutuksia elämän eri osa-alueille on jo tutkittu ympäri maailman. Jyväskylän yliopiston humanistis-yhteiskuntatieteellisessä tiedekunnassa haluttiin saada parempi käsitys pandemian ja siitä aiheutuneiden poikkeusolojen vaikutuksista jatko-opintoihin ja niiden suorittamiseen. Niinpä tiedekunnassa päätettiin toteuttaa keväällä 2020 jatko-opiskelijoille suunnattu kysely, jossa selvitettiin esimerkiksi poikkeusolojen vaikutuksia opintojen edistämiseen ja vastaajien poikkeusolojen aikana kohtaamia haasteita jatko-opintojen eri osa-alueilla. Kapittelet undersøker om en bevisstgjøringsstrategi med fem refleksjonstrinn kan bidra til at ansatte i barnehager kan øke bevisstheten om forholdet mellom egen oppvekst og profesjonell praksis. Tema er kjønn og likestilling, og det fokuseres på ansattes utsagn om egne erfaringer, samt erfaringer med bevisstgjøringsstrategien. Studien er utført i to barnehager, og funnene indikerer at metoden kan fremme bevissthet om kjønn og bidra til å redusere gapet mellom det private og det profesjonelle.

Role of the gastroenterologist in the management of the obese patient.

Obesity is a highly prevalent disease worldwide, and one in which gastroenterologists can play an important role. Some digestive diseases are more common in obese patients, and preoperative evaluation may be required in some cases. Additionally, bariatric surgery can lead to digestive complications in the short and long term that require intervention, and endoscopic treatment can be an important factor in weight loss. The aim of this review is to highlight the role of the gastroenterologist in the management of obese patients who are either scheduled for or have undergone surgical or endoscopic treatment for obesity.

Perivascular nerve fiber α-synuclein regulates contractility of mouse aorta: A link to autonomic dysfunction in Parkinson's disease

Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders associated to changes in alpha-synuclein often result in autonomic dysfunction, most of the time accompanied by abundant expression of this synaptic protein in peripheral autonomic neurons. Given that expression of alpha-synuclein in vascular elements has been previously reported, the present study was undertaken to determine whether alpha-synuclein directly participates in the regulation of vascular responsiveness. El efecto intimidador de la depuración es evidente en el caso del Magisterio y cumple el objetivo primordial del proceso depurativo franquista: prevenir de futuros comportamientos indeseables. El miedo produjo un aprendizaje político y pedagógico nuevo y las exigencias del Nuevo Orden propician la modificación de las creencias pasadas que son sustituidas por otras más acordes con la nueva situación política y pedagógica.
