A Simulation Analysis for Assessing the Reliability of AC/DC Hybrid Microgrids - Part II: Port Area and Residential Area

This paper reports the second part of a simulation study with the aim of evaluating the ability of two portions of a hybrid AC/DC MV/LV network in maintaining their operation in off-grid mode during the loss of the main AC grid due to a failure. In particular, this paper follows a dual purpose: first, it analysis two microgrids in a residential area and a port zone capability of operating in islanded mode, applying a probabilistic approach, while there is different energy use cases, and second is to evaluate some reliability indicators.
Forward logistic regression for earth-flow landslide susceptibility assessment in the Platani river basin (southern Sicily, Italy)

Forward logistic regression has allowed us to derive an earth-flow susceptibility model for the Tumarrano river basin, which was defined by modeling the statistical relationships between an archive of 760 events and a set of 20 predictors. For each landslide in the inventory, a landslide identification point (LIP) was automatically produced as corresponding to the highest point along the boundary of the landslide polygons, and unstable conditions were assigned to cells at a distance up to 8 m. Revaluation of graffiti as unwanted texts in language acquisition

The aim of the article is to theoretically substantiate the use of graffiti in the learning process and practically demonstrate how graffiti texts could be included in language acquisition (especially in the language as a first language lessons). Graffiti examples are taken from the linguistic landscape of Latvia to discuss with secondary school pupils the language use in the city, emotions in language, as well as to enhance understanding of linguistic and visual images on the various levels. This volume covers 15 articles on different synchronic and diachronic issues in grammar and language acquisition. The research is mainly corpus- based (using various Latvian, Lithuanian, English corpora) and text-driven (the history of Latvian, Latin, and Georgian).

[Contexte] Cette proposition s’inscrit, dans la recherche de tradition allemande, à l’intersection entre les travaux en linguistique de discours (au sens donc de Diskurslinguistik, Spitzmüller/Warnke, 2011 ; Felder/Gardt 2015), en pragmatique (des nouveaux médias, Herring / Stein / Virtanen 2013 ; Gautier / Michel sous presse) et de la linguistique juridique (au sens de Rechtslinguistik, Felder / Vögel 2017).
