Jedną z podstawowych funkcji miasta jest zapewnienie mieszkańcom obszaru do rekreacji, wypoczynku i zacieśniania więzi społecznych. Obecnie szybki rozwój terenów zurbanizowanych utrudnia aranżowanie przyjaznych przestrzeni publicznych. Sposobem na ich stworzenie mogą stać się narzędzia i rozwiązania wypracowane w ramach logistyki miasta, która jako jeden z celów przyjmuje zaspokajanie potrzeb mieszkańców, podkreślając znaczenie miasta jako organizacji społecznej. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest identyfikacja roli logistyki w kreowaniu przestrzeni publicznej na obszarze zurbanizowanym.

Projekty logistyki miasta – metoda szacunkowa oceny ryzyka

W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia projektów w obszarze logistyki miasta, które realizowane są nie tylko w warunkach niepewności, ale także ograniczeń budżetowych. Wskazano, że dążenie do równoważenia nakładów i efektów stwarza konieczność oceny zasadności projektu oraz ryzyka związanego z realizacją przyjętych celów w zakresie czasu, kosztu, zakresu i jakości inwestycji. Jednak brak obowiązku ustawowego oceny ryzyka skłania do poszukiwania takich metod, które nie będą generowały dodatkowych kosztów i dostarczą szybkich wyników, dlatego w artykule zaprezentowano metodę szacunkową oceny ryzyka projektów, bazującą na subiektywnych ocenach ekspertów. Combining Sequence Analysis and Hidden Markov Models in the Analysis of Complex Life Sequence Data

Life course data often consists of multiple parallel sequences, one for each life domain of interest. Multichannel sequence analysis has been used for computing pairwise dissimilarities and finding clusters in this type of multichannel (or multidimensional) sequence data. Describing and visualizing such data is, however, often challenging. We propose an approach for compressing, interpreting, and visualizing the information within multichannel sequences by finding (1) groups of similar trajectories and (2) similar phases within trajectories belonging to the same group. General and special education teachers’ knowledge about reading comprehension processes and instructional practices

AbstractThe study investigated teachers’ knowledge of reading comprehension processes and reading comprehension instruction. The study was carried out among teachers (N = 65) in Estonia. The content analysis classified qualitative data from semi-structured interviews as quantitative data. The results showed that teachers’ content knowledge about reading comprehension processes and pedagogical knowledge of reading comprehension instruction were considerably variable yet mostly limited. The ALHAMBRA survey: B -band luminosity function of quiescent and star-forming galaxies at 0.2 ≤  z  < 1 by PDF analysis

[Aims]: Our goal is to study the evolution of the B-band luminosity function (LF) since z ∼ 1 using ALHAMBRA data. [Methods]: We used the photometric redshift and the I-band selection magnitude probability distribution functions (PDFs) of those ALHAMBRA galaxies with I ≤ 24 mag to compute the posterior LF. We statistically studied quiescent and star-forming galaxies using the template information encoded in the PDFs. The LF covariance matrix in redshift - magnitude - galaxy type space was computed, including the cosmic variance.
