Le diagnostic archéologique réalisé dans le sous-sol situé à l’ouest et au droit de la Salle des Gardes (Grand’Chambre) et de la Salle des Gens d’Armes (Grand’Salle) visait à accompagner la réalisation de cinq sondages de repérage initiés par le Centre des Monuments Nationaux pour rechercher, côté sud, un potentiel sol contemporain de l’édifice médiéval attenant (zone test 1) et côté nord pour retrouver les traces d’un ancien pavillon (zone test 2). Aucun sol construit n’a été révélé dans les sondages 1 à 4, mais on ne peut exclure une destruction liée à la mise en place de l’espace excavée au XVIIe s. Le gisement a été fouillé de 1980 à 1991 par Patrick Paupe et son équipe, qui y a recueilli 52 espèces de mammifères (plus de 10 000 restes déterminables), au moins 13 espèces d'oiseaux, deux de reptiles, une d'amphibien, deux espèces de poissons et des gastéropodes indéterminés. The relationship between alluvial dynamics and control parameters such as climate are well known and understood at plurimillennial and pluriannual time-scales. But it is not really the case at multicentennial and multidecennal time-scales compatible with human society settlement time-scales. In a present and near future context, when human settlement may be affected by strong climatic variation, alluvial dynamics understanding is however a major centre of attention to the development of efficient models. 12 pages; Ce travail porte sur les calcaires à rudistes (Monopleuridae et Requienidae du Barrémien inférieur et base du Barrémien supérieur, essentiellement) du Vercors méridional. Il s'intéresse tout particulièrement aux relations qui existent entre ce faciès et les calcarénites barrémiennes de ce secteur. Les coupes levées et les panoramas réalisés montrent que le motif de dépôt des formations concernées est répétitif et indique, pour ce qui concerne les calcarénites, une diminution de l'hydrodynamisme que l'on interprète comme due à une augmentation de l'accommodation. Augustodunum, civitas Aeduorum, roman city founded under the reign of Augustus, was equipped with four roman city gates : the gate of Arroux and the gate of Saint André, both well preserved, the gate of Saint Andoche which sole remaining part is a flanking tower, and the gate of Rome, destroyed long ago.The heart of this study lies in the stratigraphic reading of those gates structure and in thoughts about the building site of Autun’s city gates operating process. Moreover, since the 16th century, antiquaries, travelers and artists have described in many ways their visits to the roman city gates of Autun. International audience; The Uppermost Middle Pleistocene site of Romain-la-Roche (Doubs, France) : synthesis of biostratigraphic and palaeoecological conclusions.- The site of Romain-la-Roche is a karstic swallowhole which acted as a natural trap where fall numerous large mammals, and where diverse small vertebrates were transported as preys of birds. The site was excavated between 1980 and 1991 by Patrick Paupe and his team. It yielded 52 species of mammals (more than 10 000 identifiable remains), more than 13 of species of birds, two of reptiles, one of amphibian, two of fishes and undetermined gastropods. The study of a new section around Caylus (Tarn-et-Garonne) allows new biostratigraphic and sedimentological observations on the terms of passage from the Upper Pliensbachian (Formation of the Barre à Pecten) to the Toarcien (Formation de Penne) of the Quercy (France). The Schistes cartons member (Lower Toarcian, Serpentinum zone) is particularly remarkable.Four taxa of brachiopods and eleven taxa of Toarcian ammonites from the Tenuicostatum, Serpentinum and Bifrons zones, sub-zone to Sublevisoni are the subject of the following paleontological study.
