Masteroppgave i informasjonssystemer 2007 - Høgskolen i Agder, Kristiansand E-demokrati er et satsningsområde i offentlig sektor. Det har i Norge vært synkende deltagelse i valg både til Storting og kommunevalg ved de siste valgene. Ungdom i aldersgruppen 18 til 21 år har lavere oppslutning rundt valgene enn eldre aldersgrupper. Flere mener at e-demokrati kan bidra til å øke oppslutning rundt demokratiet og valgene. I denne sammenheng er ungdom en viktig målgruppe. Vi har sett nærmere på e-demokrati rettet mot ungdom. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on kartoittaa englanninkielistä viestintää suomalaisissa yrityksissä. Tarkastelun kohteena on myös työntekijöiden henkilökohtainen suhtautuminen monikulttuuriseen viestintään ja omaan suoriutumiseen. Tutkimukseni taustalla on halu ymmärtää, miten suomalaisyritysten kansainvälinen viestintä rakentuu ja minkälaisia velvoitteita ja vaatimuksia se asettaa työntekijöille. Tutkimuksen aineistona on kuusi puolistrukturoitua syvähaastattelua. Haastateltavat työskentelevät Suomessa eri alojen yrityksissä erityyppisissä tehtävissä. A semi-structured interview with three teachers provide data that is compared with a survey questionnaire among their pupils. The purpose of this study is to investigatethe connection between Norwegian lower secondary pupils’ gaming habits,their essay grades and their written lexical richness in English, as well as to offer gamers’ attitudes towards gaming and language learning. A mixed method approach was applied in order to address three research questions focusing on the participants’ lexical richness, their grades and their attitudes toward learning through gaming.
