This study aimed at investigating the reciprocal longitudinal associations between teacher– and parent–child relationships and children’s adjustment behaviors during Grade 1, and the role of the child’s temperament in this interplay. The longitudinal study followed Lithuanian children (229 in kindergarten [T0], 337 at the beginning of Grade 1 [T1], 341 at the end of Grade 1 [T2]), their parents, and their Grade 1 teachers (n = 24). The parents and teachers reported on the quality of their relationship with the children during Grade 1. Tämä artikkeli pohjautuu Viljarannan, Aunolan, Mullolan, Virkkalan, Hirvosen, Pakarisen ja Nurmen artikkeliin The role of temperament on children’s skill development: Teachers’ Interaction Styles as Mediators, joka julkaistiin Child Development -lehden numerossa 86(4) vuonna 2015. This article explores university students’ approaches to and positions with regard to making the most of their study time. The article discusses how various normative societal expectations around students’ use and management of time feature in their talk about how they organise their everyday lives. Moral Attitudes Predict Cheating and Gamesmanship Behaviors Among Competitive Tennis Players

Background: The present study tested Lee et al.’s (2008) model of moral attitudes and cheating behavior in sports in an Italian sample of young tennis players and extended it to predict behavior in actual match play. In the first phase of the study we proposed that moral, competence and status values would predict prosocial and antisocial moral attitudes directly, and indirectly through athletes’ goal orientations. Gender is the most pervasive classification of individuals and thus strongly defines couple relationships. Cultural discourses on couple relationships reproduce hierarchical gender differences, and couple distress is often linked to gendered power inequalities. At worst, gender is the basis for intimate partner violence (IPV). Generally, however, therapeutic interventions do not address the issues of gender and gendered power. Kuvataideterapialla voidaan edistää oppimista ja oppilaiden terveyttä. Kuvataideterapian avulla kehittyvät myös oppilaiden visuaaliset taidot, tunteen ilmaisu ja itsetuntemus. Tämän havaitsi Päivi-Maria Hautala tarkastellessaan väitöskirjassaan kuvataideterapian mahdollisuuksia opetuksessa ja oppimisessa Suomen kouluissa. Hautala haastatteli tutkimukseen koulujen kuvataideterapeutteja ja määritteli kuvataideterapian olemusta lasten ja nuorten kasvun sekä kehityksen tukijana.Hautala havaitsi väitöstutkimuksessaan eron koulukulttuurin ja terapiakulttuurin välillä. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin yksilöpsykoterapiassa käytäviä yhteistyösuhdekatkosten prosessointikeskusteluja asiakkaan ongelmallisen kokemuksen rakentumisen näkökulmasta. Tutkimuksen ensimmäisessä vaiheessa tutkittiin yhteistyösuhteessa tapahtuvia muutoksia katkosten ja ratkaisuyritysten näkökulmasta. Toinen osa oli tutkia ongelmallisen kokemuksen rakentumista eli tarkastella asiakkaan sisäisiä dialogeja yhteistyösuhteen prosessointikeskusteluissa. Tavoitteena oli tutkia onko katkoksilla, niiden ratkaisemisella ja ongelmallisella kokemuksella yhteyttä toisiinsa.
