The performance of haptic application is highly sensitive to communication delays and losses of data. It implies several constraints in developing networked haptic applications. This paper describes a new internet protocol called Efficient Transport Protocol (ETP), which aims at developing distributed interactive applications. TCP and UDP are transport protocols commonly used in any kind of networked communication, but they are not focused on real time application. We consider a population of dynamic agents, also referred to as players. The state of each player evolves according to a linear stochastic differential equation driven by a Brownian motion and under the influence of a control and an adversarial disturbance. Summary In this note, the problems of stability analysis and controller synthesis of Markovian jump systems with time-varying delay and partially known transition rates are investigated via an input–output approach. Electro-hydraulic compact drives (ECDs) are an emerging technology for linear actuation in a wide range of applications. Especially within the low power range of 5–10 kW, the plug-and-play capability, good energy efficiency and small space requirements of ECDs render this technology a promising alternative to replace conventional valve-controlled linear drive solutions. In this power range, ECDs generally rely on passive cooling to keep oil and system temperatures within the tolerated range. In less prescriptive environments where individuals are told ‘what to do’\ud but not ‘how to do’, synchronization can be a byproduct of strategic thinking,\ud prediction, and local interactions. We prove this in the context of multipopulation\ud robust mean-field games. The model sheds light on a multi-scale\ud phenomenon involving fast synchronization within the same population and\ud slow inter-cluster oscillation between different populations.

On stability of linear dynamic systems with hysteresis feedback

The stability of linear dynamic systems with hysteresis in feedback is considered. While the absolute stability for memoryless nonlinearities (known as Lure's problem) can be proved by the well-known circle criterion, the multivalued rate-independent hysteresis poses significant challenges for feedback systems, especially for proof of convergence to an equilibrium state correspondingly set. The dissipative behavior of clockwise input-output hysteresis is considered with two boundary cases of energy losses at reversal cycles.
