Bakalaura darba tēma ir "Islāma valsts: vēsture un ideoloģija". Šajā darbā tiek pētīti "Islāma valsts" rašanās apstākļi, kā arī ideoloģija, kas nosaka tās darbības pamatprincipus. This essay focuses on the Egyptian salafism, under the light of the theory of the so-called post-Islamism. Paradoxically after the ousting of the President Muhammad Morsi by the military, salafi parties gained space, supporting the second transition and the amendments of the Constitution drafted by the Muslim Brotherhood. Salafisms bears a traditional interpretation of Islam which is at odd with several aspects of democracy and liberal-constitutionalism. But what does it mean, exactly, to be a salafi? Abstract The purpose of this article is to read, under a different light, the relationship between al-Ġazālī and Ibn Taymiyya thanks to the analysis of their writings (from Iḥyāʾ ʿulūm al-dīn to Ilǧām al-ʿawāmm ʿan ʿilm al-kalām) in order to find commonalities and differences in the ideological proposal of the two authors.
