An unpublished letter written by Savigny to Bethmann-Hollweg in August 1817 provides a starting point for thinking about the relationship between the religious ideology of the Christian Revival (Erweckungsbewegung) , Prussian nationalism and the concept of law within the German Historical School.

Immediacy and distance in teacher talk—A comparative case study in German elementary- and outdoor school-teaching

This case study examines authentic speech acts by a German primary school teacher in the classroom context and the outdoor learning location of a forest. The study will compare the degree of linguistic immediacy or distance in these two contexts, respectively. Once a week, the class is doing “outdoor school” [Draußenschule] in places of natural or cultural interest near to their school. The structural change in the teaching environment means a change in the communication setting. The question arises if the teacher speaks to the students differently indoors than outdoors. Mollīna tipogrāfijā nodrukātas Orationes tres: trīs runas, ko turēja sholarhi (Rīgas rātes prokonsuls Nikolajs Eke; 1541-1623 un sindiks Dāvids Hilhens; 1561-1610) un Domskolas rektors Johans Rīvijs (Rivius, 1528-1596, Domskolas rektors (1589) un inspektors (1594)) reorganizētās Domskolas atjaunošanai veltītajā svinīgajā pasākumā 1589. gada 15. jūlijā. Programs' Efficacy to Develop Employable Skills for People With Functional Diversity: A Meta-Analysis

Purpose: Promoting the labour integration of people with functional diversity is a key element to achieve their social inclusion. This meta-analysis aims to examine the effectiveness of experimental programs in developing employable skills for people with disabilities. Methods: Literature searches up to June 2019 were conducted in four databases (Web of Science, Scopus, PsycINFO and ERIC). In times of educational expansion, privileged families are looking for new strategies of distinction. Referring to Pierre Bourdieu���s theory of distinction, we argue that choosing Latin at school ��� a language that is no longer spoken and therefore has no direct value ��� is one of the strategies of privileged families to set themselves apart from less privileged families. Based on two surveys we conducted at German schools, the paper analyzes the relationship between parents��� educational background and the probability that their child will learn Latin.
