We analyze Spanish production of papers on bibliometrics published in Spanish scientific journals and the use of information through the method of bibliographic reference analysis. Publications have been obtained from IME, ICYT and ISOC databases. The number of papers was 101 , with 1848 citations. The most important citations are to journal articles and Spanish publications, but <i>Scientometrics</i> is the most cited journal. Results seem to show that bibliometrics is a young discipline in our country, with an important role of classic authors. Abstract The evolution of spectroscopy‐based research activity in Morocco was evaluated on the basis of publications that have appeared in the Science Citation Index, Expanded (SCI), during the cumulative period 1984–2006 (September). The most active research groups, and their universities or centers, were identified in this subject from their scientific production in the first years of this century. The preference to publish in specific journals, the main areas of interest to Moroccan authors, and the spectroscopy techniques most commonly employed for their studies were also appraised. Hydrobiologia started its existence in March 1948 by publishing a first volume of 476 pages, and already then focused on the biology and ecology of aquatic organisms. After 70 years, the focus of the journal is still similar, but the diversity of approaches increased during the seven decades of its existence. To celebrate the 70 years of Hydrobiologia, we here address some emerging trends in the history of publications in Hydrobiologia.
Mapping of Research Activity, Dominance and Collaboration Pattern in Pneumonia (2001-2015): Snapshot and Gaps

Background: This article describes a bibliometric review of the scientific production, geographical distribution, collaboration, impact, and subject area focus of pneumonia research indexed on the Web of Science over a 15-year period. Methods: We searched the Web of Science database using the Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) of "Pneumonia" from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2015. The only document types we studied were original articles and reviews, analyzing descriptive indicators by five-year periods and the scientific production by country, adjusting for population, economic, and research-related parameters.
