Opettajan ammattia koskevan kiinnostuksen on havaittu viime vuosina heikentyneen monissa läntisissä teollisuusmaissa. Suomessa tilanne on monia muita maita parempi, mutta myös täällä on viritetty keskustelua mahdollisesta opettajapulasta. AbstractPeer assessment has been shown to advance learning, for example, by improving one’s work, but the variance of learning benefits within or between studies has not been explained. The purpose of this case study was to examine what kinds of pathways students have through peer assessment and to study which factors affect them when peer assessment is implemented in the early stage of physics studies in the context of conducting and reporting inquiry. Historian opetuksen yhteydessä on viimeisten kahden vuosikymmenen aikana puhuttu erityisesti opetuksen suuntaamisesta sisältöjen opettamisesta historian taitojen ja demokraattisena kansalaisena toimimisen suuntaan. Tavoitteet edellyttävät myös käytäntöjen muuttumista. Tässä artikkelissa tarkastellaan lukion historian opetusta opetuskokeilun kautta. Kokeilussa hyödynnettiin pelillisyyttä sekä historiallista empatiaa. Adolescents' engagement profiles and their association with academic performance and situational engagement

This study examined adolescents' engagement profiles and their association with situational engagement and academic performance in lower secondary school settings. The data consisted of 301 Grade 7 students from Finland. By utilizing person-oriented approach with Latent Profiling Analysis on subscales capturing students' overall engagement, four subgroups of students with different overall engagement profiles were identified. The focus of this study was to examine the constructions of the educable subject of the lifelong learning (LLL) narrative in the narrative life histories of adult students at general upper secondary school for adults (GUSSA). In this study lifelong learning has been defined as a cultural narrative on education, “a system of political thinking” that is not internally consistent, but has contradictory themes embedded within it (Billig et al., 1988).
