Le corpus d’objets du site du Pré-à-Vaches constitue un ensemble très conséquent et rare parce qu’il correspond à un habitat très probablement attribuable au tout début du Néolithique récent. Le contexte de découverte, la constitution de la collection, la datation et la caractérisation typologique, technologique et culturelle des différentes industries permettent de mieux situer cet assemblage au sein du Néolithique récent. Le site comprend plus de 800 objets et présente notamment un ensemble assez exceptionnel d’industrie en bois de cerf pour un site terrestre. Le site d’habitat du Néolithique récent de Presles-et-Boves, « Les Bois-Plantés » (Aisne)

Un projet de carrière de sable implanté à Presles-et-Boves, aux Bois-Plantés dans l’Aisne a conduit à une série d’opérations d’archéologie préventive sur les vestiges d’un habitat du Néolithique récent. Ce dernier se présente sous la forme d’un sol d’occupation et de structures excavées qui ont livré un mobilier archéologique abondant. C’est le premier de cette importance à être découvert pour cette époque dans le département de l’Aisne. L’étude du mobilier céramique et lithique permet d’apporter des éléments sur sa nature et sa datation.
