Momentum-space structure of surface states in a topological semimetal with a nexus point of Dirac lines

Three-dimensional topological semimetals come in different variants, either containing Weyl points or Dirac lines. Here we describe a more complicated momentum-space topological defect where several separate Dirac lines connect with each other, forming a momentum-space equivalent of the real-space nexus considered before for helium-3. Close to the nexus the Dirac lines exhibit a transition from type I to type II lines. We consider a general model of stacked honeycomb lattices with the symmetry of Bernal (AB) stacked graphite and show that the structural mirror symmetries in such systems protect the presence of the Dirac lines, and also naturally lead to the formation of the nexus. A ambos lados del río encontramos una toponimia –muchas veces poco transparente– que deriva de las características físicas de este río, de la protección ante sus avenidas, o de la vigilancia de los pasos o los caminos que lo atraviesan. Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Apes vietvārdi”. Darba mērķis – iespējami vispusīga Apes pagasta un pilsētas vietvārdu analīze, izmantojot tam piemērotākos klasifikācijas veidus. Darba uzdevumos ietilpst apdzīvoto un neapdzīvoto vietu nosaukumu savākšana un to analīze. Bakalaura darbā analizēti aptuveni 265 autores savāktie Apes pagasta vietvārdi, no kuriem 87 analizēti jau agrāk. Apkopotais materiāls ir salīdzināts ar Jāņa Endzelīna ,,Latvijas PSR vietvārdu’’ I–II (1956, 1961), J. Endzelīna ,,Latvijas vietu vārdu’’ I (1922), kā arī ,,Latvijas vietvārdu vārdnīcasˮ visām līdz šim pieejamām četrām daļām.

This work deals with the didactical use of geometrical-mechanical artefacts to acquire tangent concept in vygotskian perspective. We adopt Rabardel’s theory on instru-mental approach to distinguish artefacts and instruments specially to evince the history-to-education ontogenesis-phylogenesis process. From this point of view we trace a historical-epistemological pathway for the tangent up to set an ad hoc didactical counterpart. Comparative linguistics seems to suggest that the gap between two languages can be filled by grammar. But mapping the structural gaps between languages hardly makes for the more fundamental gap that is created by the writing of a new text, a supposedly identical addendum to the first. Writing that new text entails questions about the nature of texts, their intentions, their interpretations. Translation must therefore develop a hermeneutical approach. Tämän pro gradu –tutkielman tarkoitus oli selvittää, millaisia ravintoon ja fyysiseen harjoitteluun liittyviä teemoja hyvinvointiblogeista nousee esille ja minkälaisia blogin kirjoittajien eli bloggaajien antamat ohjeet ravinnosta ja harjoittelusta ovat suhteessa tämänhetkisiin suosituksiin ja kirjallisuuteen. Tutkimuksen aineisto koostui kolmen suositun bloggaajan kirjoittamista blogiteksteistä kuukauden ajalta (syyskuu 2015). Characteristics of the translation product are often used in translation process research as predictors for cognitive load, and by extension translation difficulty. In the last decade, user-activity information such as eye-tracking data has been increasingly employed as an experimental tool for that purpose. In this paper, we take a similar approach. This paper analyzes, in a comparative way, the conceptual metaphors (Lakoff and Johnson, 1998) used in the German text «Kassandra» of Christa Wolf and in its Italian translation.
