We examine the web-based thesis seminars in the context of academic adult education in our article which presents and reflects on the development of web-based teaching. Warm conveyor belts (WCBs) are important airstreams in extratropical cyclones, often leading to the formation of intense precipitation and the amplification of upper-level ridges. This study presents a case study that involves aircraft, lidar and radar observations in a WCB ascending from western Europe towards the Baltic Sea during the Hydrological Cycle in the Mediterranean Experiment (HyMeX) and T-NAWDEX-Falcon in October 2012, a preparatory campaign for the THORPEX North Atlantic Waveguide and Downstream Impact Experiment (TNAWDEX). My doctoral dissertation examines women’s memory narratives of paid labour during the Winter War (1939–1940) and the Continuation War (1941–1945, including the Lapland War) and in the years of rebuilding in Finland until early 1950s. As an ethnologist, I am interested in the personal level of everyday life and experiences of work. My main interest lies in the meanings women give to paid labour. The focus is on memory narratives, and I am reaching and I aim to bring to light the meanings given to work: what did paid labour mean for women during the war and the time of rebuilding and how do they tell about it decades afterwards? Dedicated to Saint Generosi and Saint Rosana, the reliquary arms, recalling the shape of a body part, are today located in the Relics Chapel in Palermo Cathedral. They are probably dated to the second half of the 18th century and are attributed to an unknown artist. Similar to various other diatopic varieties of German language, one finds numerous person names in Upper Silesian German, in which all possible qualities and modes of existence of the human being are focused and expressed. In the article attention is drawn once to the semantic classes oc-curring here, as well as to the types of nomination activated in the formation of the names, and then to the word formation types and the languages from which the morphemes forming the names were derived.
Effects of rehabilitative psychotherapy on labour market success: Evaluation of a nationwide programme

Aims: Psychotherapy is a widely used treatment for mental disorders, but whether it also improves employment and other labour market outcomes remains inconclusive. This study examined the effectiveness of a nationwide subsidized psychotherapy programme using extensive register-based data. Methods: The sample consisted of individuals who applied for rehabilitative psychotherapy in Finland in 2009–2012 ( n = 35,083). Prior to 2011, some applications were rejected due to the limited budget that the central government provided for the programme. From 2011, all eligible applicants were granted rehabilitation. Artykuł omawia dzieje wulgaryzmu ciul, który z dialektu śląskiego przeszedł do odmiany potocznej polszczyzny ogólnej. Po raz pierwszy wulgaryzm zapisano w 1875 r. w śląskich dokumentach sądowych. Leksem pochodzi z gwar czeskich (por. culík ‘warkocz, spleciona kępa włosów’) lub morawskich (culík ‘sopel’). Pierwotne znaczenie uległo metaforyzacji i zaczęło oznaczać ‘narząd męski, penis’. Wyraz ciul jako wulgaryzm zaczął być używany w funkcji wyzwiska, co dokumentują zapisy archiwalne. W różnych typach kontaktów owo obraźliwe określenie mężczyzny łatwo zmieniało semantykę i ekspresyjne zabarwienie, od ‘oszusta, szumowiny’ po ‘niedorajdę, głupka’.
