The experience of interactive systems can be a rather complex set of events. The perceptions appeal to the user's senses including visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and gustatory. Taken from a human factors approach, the sensitivity of the senses can be measured very closely and units of measurement arise from the "just noticeable difference." Should I use touchscreen tablets rather than computers and mice in TDS trials?

International audience; Internet technologies are increasingly used as tools in sensory analysis. Thus, it would be a natural step forward for sensory science to move beyond the laboratory, into people's homes. Therefore, working with consumer IT devices like touchscreen tablets in sensory science should be taken into consideration. Working with the intuitive concept of dominance, Temporal Dominance of Sensations (TDS) requires a non-analytical answer from the subject. Using a touchscreen tablet instead of a classic mouse could reduce the cognitive load and favor a more instinctive answer. Inventando el crimen pasional: del lenguaje de gacetilla a la prensa de sucesos (España, 1892-1920)

El terme «crim passional» va sorgir a la premsa espanyola el 1892. L’objectiu d’aquest treball és desvelar el perquè i entendre’n la relació amb la premsa sensacionalista i, en especial, amb la premsa especialitzada en successos. La nostra metodologia considera que la premsa és un motor cultural en la construcció de conceptes amb incidència social. Així, doncs, explorem la presència del terme «crim passional» en un bon nombre de diaris i setmanaris per observar com es va construir un marc mental de naturalesa emocional. Es revela la incidència del concepte en l’opinió pública i en el llenguatge jurídic, així com la seva rellevància en la justificació de la violència contra les dones.

Influence of substrate oxidation on the reward system, no role of dietary fibre.

International audience; It has been suggested that a high intake of dietary fibre helps regulate energy intake and satiety. The present study aimed to examine whether dietary fibre influenced the liking and wanting components of the food reward system, the metabolic state or subsequent intake. Five sessions involving 32 normal-weight subjects (16 men and 16 women, 30.6 ± 7.6 year) were held. The sessions differed in the composition of the bread eaten during breakfasts (dietary fibre content varied from 2.4 to 12.8 g/100 g). The external layers of wheat caryopsis, largely constituting by-products of the milling industry such as bran and various middlings, contain relevant amounts of phenolic compounds.
