Quand opérer de la cataracte ?
2017

Epidemiology of acute endophthalmitis after ophthalmological procedures, a national database description
2020
International audience; Purpose : Although rare, endophthalmitis is a severe complication of ophthalmological procedures. The incidence of endophthalmitis following cataract, glaucoma, vitreoretinal surgeries, and intravitreal injections has previously been described in large-scale studies, but no data is available on the proportion of causative procedures. We aimed to describe longitudinally the causes of endophthalmitis at a national scale using the French medico-administrative database. Methods : The SNIIRAM (French national inter-scheme insurance database) collects all data of medical expenditures and procedures performed in France. We extracted acute endophthalmitis occurring 42 days af…

Retinal vascular network: description in elderly and pathological process
2020
For more than 10 years, description of the retinal microvascular network has benefited from the development of new imaging techniques. Automatic retinal images analysis software, as well as OCT angiography, are able to highlight subtle and early changes in the retinal vascular network. In addition, these software allow to obtain a large amount of quantitative microvascular parameters which improve the characterization of retinal vascularization. The challenge of current research is to demonstrate the association between these microvascular modifications, systemic vascular aging process and cerebral and cardiovascular disease. Indeed, a physiopathological continuum exists between retinal mic…
Flexibilité du contrôle moteur dans les mouvements complexes dirigés
2011
The main objective of this thesis is to study the motor flexibility in complex movements when an unexpected event makes the initial motor plan inefficient. In this way, three kinematic and electromyographic studies and a fourth with functional magnetic resonance imaging were realized. (1)The main result of the first study clearly demonstrate that during complex movements express motor corrections in the upper and lower limbs, with latency responses of less than 100 ms, were revealed by contrasting electromyographic activities in perturbed and unperturbed trials. Such findings could indicate that visual on-going movement corrections may be accomplished via fast loops at the level of the uppe…
Chlorine flavor perception and neutralization in drinking water
2010
For water suppliers, using chlorine is necessary to ensure water bacteriological quality from the treatment plant to the consumers’ tap. However, chlorine flavour is one of the most common reasons advocated for choosing tap water alternatives as drinking water. As a consequence, the putative link between chlorine flavour perception and tap water consumption is an issue in drinking water habits studies. Since the sensory mechanisms involved in chlorine flavour perception remained largely unknown, the main objective of this thesis work was to first highlight those mechanisms and then to identify potential lever chlorine flavour sensory neutralisation. In a first step, we demonstrated that hypo…
