L’époque scolastique fut ainsi propice à l’émergence de grandes collections édifiantes comme les recueils de sermons, les légendiers ou les recueils d’exempla. En els sermons de sant Vicent Ferrer, les referències a qüestions fi losòfi ques ocupen un lloc secundari i subordinat al missatge moral. No obstant això, són prou freqüents i posen de manifest l'alta formació escolàstica del predicador valencià. En un dels sermons trobem un incís que explica una aparent anomalia gramatical en un passatge bíblic; una breu explicació que cobra sentit a partir del contingut del tractat sobre les suposicions dels termes escrit per sant Vicent en els seus anys de formació com a mestre de lògica. This paper addresses a genuine aspect of conceptionist visual rhetoric during the Viceroyalty of New Spain: the recycling of Immaculate Conception earlier types of representation that, with the consolidation of the image of the Immaculate derived from the Tota Pulchra, had fallen deprecated in the peninsular art. W duszpasterstwie dzieci ważne zadanie spełniają głoszone do nich homilie i kazania. To przepowiadanie zostaje poddane naukowej refleksji w oparciu o paradygmat pastoralny. Przesłanką większą są wytyczne dokumentów Kościoła odnośnie przepowiadania do dzieci i to, co napisano na jego temat. Zaś przesłanką mniejszą wybrane homilie i kazania, które ukazały się drukiem i te, które są głoszone. Zestawienie przesłanki większej i mniejszej, a więc teorii i praktyki, pozwala na sformułowanie postulatów odnośnie przepowiadania do dzieci w Polsce. Zaproponowano 10 postulatów. During four decades of his service in the Church, Valentin Felixovich Voino-Yasenetsky (Archbishop Luke of Simferopol and Crimea) delivered numerous sermons, most of which were recorded. Later, they began to appear in the form of publications and became the object of research by representatives of various scientific disciplines. Witchcraft as a crime attracted the attention of Polish-Lithuanian society in many aspects at the turn of 17th and 18th centuries. On the one hand, it was connected with a belief in its efficiency, in the existence of witches and sorcerers, and their covenant with the devil. The article analyzes two manuscripts: a prayer „Modlitwa przeciwko czarom i niebezpieczeństwom” and a sermon „ Jako się strzedz czarów i potwarzy o nie”. The sermon utilizes contemporary rhetoric, stresses the importan-ce of sin and appeals to the receivers through fear. What is somewhat surprising, the text maintains that most witchcraft happened with God’s permission, as God allows the devil to function in the society…
