Observer-Based Stabilization of Stochastic Systems with Limited Communication

Robust Observer Design for Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Systems with Mixed Neutral and Discrete Delays and Unknown Inputs

Also available from the publisher:http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2012/635709 A robust observer design is proposed for Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy neutral models with unknown inputs. The model consists of a mixed neutral and discrete delay, and the disturbances are imposed on both state and output signals. Delay-dependent sufficient conditions for the design of an unknown input T-S observer with time delays are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Some relaxations are introduced by using intermediate variables. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the given results.

Multi-Layer Offloading at the Edge for Vehicular Networks

This paper proposes a multi-layer platform for job offloading in vehicular networks. Offloading is performed from vehicles in the Vehicular Domain towards Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) Servers deployed at the edge of the network, and between MEC Servers. Offloading decisions at both domains are challenging for the overall system performance. Optimization at the MEC Layer domain is obtained by model-based Reinforcement Learning, while a strategy to decide the best offloading rate from the Vehicular Domain is defined to achieve the desired trade-off between costs and performance. Numerical analysis shows the achieved performance.

A feedback control method based on an extended state observer (ESO) method is implemented to vibration reduction in a typical semiactive suspension (SAS) system using a magnetorheological (MR) damper as actuator. By considering the dynamic equations of the SAS system and the MR damper model, an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) is designed based on the ESO. Numerical simulation and real-time experiments are carried out with similar vibration disturbances. Both the simulation and experimental results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller in vibration suppression for a SAS system.

Asymptotic observer of the link states of flexible joint robots with motor-side sensing

This paper proposes an approach for observing the link states, i.e. angular position and velocity, of the robotic joints with elasticities, when only the motor-side sensing is available. By separating the state-dependent nonlinearities of the rigid manipulator dynamics a linear sub-model of the elastic joint robot is obtained in an observable state-space form. The standard asymptotic Luenberger state observer is then designed for the given motor position signal which is measured by encoder and rectified from the nonlinear contribution. Wireless IP telephony is becoming very popular between the users of large wireless local area networks (WLANs). This increment has been mainly caused because it allows cost savings. Detection of Internet robots using a Bayesian approach

A large part of Web traffic on e-commerce sites is generated not by human users but by Internet robots: search engine crawlers, shopping bots, hacking bots, etc. In practice, not all robots, especially the malicious ones, disclose their identities to a Web server and thus there is a need to develop methods for their detection and identification.
