Heat shock protein 60 (HSP60) is a mitochondrial chaperone that is implicated in physiological and pathological processes. For instance, it contributes to protein folding and stability, translocation of mitochondrial proteins, and apoptosis. Variations in the expression levels of HSP60 have been correlated to various diseases and cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Pacjentka, lat 76, została skierowana do Uniwersyteckiego Szpitala Klinicznego w Opolu z powodu podejrzenia rozwarstwienia aorty wstępującej i tamponady osierdzia. Przy przyjęciu chora w stanie ogólnym skrajnie ciężkim, z objawami głębokiego wstrząsu, niestabilna hemodynamicznie oraz wentylowana mechanicznie. W wykonanym doraźnie badaniu angio-TK stwierdzono rozwarstwienie aorty zstępującej z pękniętym tętniakiem w jej środkowym i dolnym odcinku oraz duży krwiak lewej jamy opłucnowej. Ze względu na znaczną szerokość aorty zstępującej, nawet w jej początkowym odcinku oraz aorty brzusznej powyżej pnia trzewnego do zaopatrzenia tętniaka potrzebne są dwa elementy stentgraftów o średnicy 46 mm. …

International audience; The advantage of skeleton-based 3D reconstruction is to completely generate a single 3D object from well chosen views. Having numerous views is necessary for a reliable reconstruction but projections of skeletons lead to different topologies. We reconstruct 3D objects with curved medial axis (whose topology is a tree) from the perspective skeletons on an arbitrary number of calibrated acquisitions. Asymmetric effects of monetary policy shocks across US states

This paper provides new empirical evidence of the asymmetric effects of monetary policy shocks across regions. Using a measure of unanticipated changes in the Fed's policy rates over the period 1969Q3–2008Q4 and a local projection method extended to account for spatial effects, we find that monetary policy tightening leads to a long-lasting decrease in states' real personal income, with asymmetric effects across states that are amplified by spatial spillovers. The article analyses the literary and cultural layers of Lulu, the album published by Lou Reed in collaboration with Metallica, based on Frank Wedekind’s two modernist dramas: Earth Spirit (1895) and Pandora’s Box (1904). In Reed’s reinterpretation, the two plays become his means through which he enters the area of disturbing perversion and graphic pornography. Consequently, Reeds seems to follow Susan Sontag’s diagnosis according to which the goal of pornographic literature is to disorient and to disturb mental balance. In the case of Lulu, it demonstrates Reed’s strategies of crossing the borders between what is commonly accepted and what is rejected because of its non-normative quality. …
