Peer interaction and pioneering organizational form adoption : A tale of the first two for-profit stock exchanges
2021
Building on a historical case study on the first two stock exchanges to adopt the now globally dominant for-profit organizational form, the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 1993 and the Helsinki Stock Exchange in 1995, we argue that interaction among socially proximate peers contributes to pioneering organizational form adoption within an industry, particularly when such forms are introduced by established organizations. Peer interaction can induce a search for technically efficient organizational forms through the sharing of collective experiences, the establishment of collective assumptions, and a joint search for solutions. Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Kontrabanda organizētā grupā”. Darba mērķis ir pētīt kontrabandas noziedzīgus nodarījumus, kas pastrādāti organizētā grupā Krimināllikuma 190.panta izpratnē (ar grozījumiem, kas stājās spēkā ar 2015.gada 3.decembri). Aplūkot kontrabandas rašanās vēsturi, sākot no 1903.gada līdz mūsdienām. Izpētīt tās attīstību un problemātiku, mainoties politiskai un ekonomiskai situācijai. Autore veiks kontrabandas pamatsastāva un kvalificējošo pazīmju analīzi. Mēģinās izprast kontrabandas krimināltiesisko atbildību un tās atšķirību no administratīvā pārkāpuma. Darbā tiks veikts kontrabandas jēdziena salīdzinājums ar ārvalstu krimināltiesībām.
Increasing stability in the linearized inverse Schrödinger potential problem with power type nonlinearities

We consider increasing stability in the inverse Schr\"{o}dinger potential problem with power type nonlinearities at a large wavenumber. Two linearization approaches, with respect to small boundary data and small potential function, are proposed and their performance on the inverse Schr\"{o}dinger potential problem is investigated. It can be observed that higher order linearization for small boundary data can provide an increasing stability for an arbitrary power type nonlinearity term if the wavenumber is chosen large. Abstract Starting from consideration that urban intersections are sites with promise for safety and operational improvements, the paper describes the steps taken to develop a crash predictive model for estimating the safety performance of urban unsignalized intersections located in Palermo, Italy. The focus is on unsignalized four-legged one-way intersections widespread in Italian downtowns. The sample considered in the study consist of 92 intersections in Palermo, Italy. For λ >1 and many values of s andk, we give a construction of (s,k,λ)-partitions of finite non-abelian p-groups and of Frobenius groups with non-abelian kernel. These groups are associated with translation transversl designs of the same parameters.
Increased dosage of Ink4/Arf protects against glucose intolerance and insulin resistance associated with aging

Recent genome-wide association studies have linked type-2 diabetes mellitus to a genomic region in chromosome 9p21 near the Ink4/Arf locus, which encodes tumor suppressors that are up-regulated in a variety of mammalian organs during aging. However, it is unclear whether the susceptibility to type-2 diabetes is associated with altered expression of the Ink4/Arf locus. In the present study, we investigated the role of Ink4/Arf in age-dependent alterations of insulin and glucose homeostasis using Super-Ink4/Arf mice which bear an extra copy of the entire Ink4/Arf locus.
